One thing I don't like about using points is that everyone has their own confirmation number, even our kids! We're going to 24hr check in one adult from each group first so they can at least get on board and gets seats figured out for the rest of us, because it will be impossible to get everyone confirmed right at the 24 hour mark. I don't have that many devices with internet at my house!![]()
I'm in the same boat!! I just found this out a couple of nights ago when I booked the flight for my parents, my 4 nephews, and I. My oldest nephew is 10 and the youngest 6 so this will be a challenge for us. I was thinking I would check 1 adult and the oldest nephew in first and they can get on and sit in aisle seats across from one another and just hope that we can fill in the seats around them.
I know people on here get all upset about "seat saving" on SW, and say we should just pay for early check in for everyone. However, we can't afford to that (this is a Disneyland trip of a lifetime for us and our budget took a hit when my mother suffered a stroke 3 weeks ago and is no longer able to work). The alternative of us holding everyone up at the end of boarding while we try to swap seats so the kids are not sitting with strangers is only going to tick people off more. You know you do not want to sit next to someone else's kid, even if they are well behaved. It's much better for everyone if two of our group just grab a couple rows towards the back (where nobody wants to sit anyway) and save the seats together.
