I realized I had a 1 way ticket that (expired ) but I could reactivate for 50., good news. (the promo one way has a 2 year expiration, the new program is only 1 year apparently)
SW rep told me that my other pts will start to "drop off " beginning in February and that I needed some additional points to get a free roundtrip tx (in addition to one above).
She then explained that I could BUY my needed points and it basically would cost me 100. to get what I needed for the free rt (in addition to the other 1 way free one) which again is totally worth it for me.
She said to be sure to call SW first to be sure tix/seat is available before I pay for the points.
So, I just wanted to pass along that IF you have some Older points from the previous program, you may want to call SW directly and see what options you have.

I am holding out till Feb and I just may be able to wave the purchase of points with my additional cc purchases....
