Is there a such thing that you can purchase to be able to have front of the line access at SW? I thought someone mentioned that in one of their reports but I didn't see anything like that on their website... And then my second question is does it help with upclose seating at the shows?

It's called Quick Queue and you should be able to buy it on their website. The price varies by season. Click here for a little piece I did on it with more details. I think the show seats are the same ones we get with our platinum passes, and if so, they are very good.

Thanks. Well that to me sounds well worth it because the only time we would go would be the busy seasons... Is it true what it said in the article about not having to get to the shows early and having your own entrance/section? That sounds awesome if you don't have to get to the shows 30 and 45 minutes early like you would if you didn't have it. What did you think of it?

I haven't used the show sections myself but my husband does frequently (he likes to go to SW solo while I am working). He says they are really good sections...great views. I know they are subject to filling, but so far he has never had a problem with that.

As for rides, we have Platinum passes so we don't use Quick Queue but I know you have your own separate entrance for Manta and I'm sure Kraken is the same. It would be a huge time saver at peak times.

1) for the past 3 weeks the price of Quick Queue at Sea World has been $19.95

2) for the summer they stopped the seating at the shows, the sections were filling and the Plantinum passholders were being turned away. The only show thats has seating for Quick Queue is "Reflections" the evenings fireworks show. This was what a manager explained to me why I couldn't sit in the reserved seating for Reflections.

Can you tell me how/where I can purchase the Quick Queue passes? There's no search function on Seaworld's website and I can't seem to find any info on it by clicking around on the site.

I had no idea they offered this! I'm pretty excited about it! We're going in October, which won't be super busy...but this is a "once in a lifetime" kind of trip and it is saves us a good amount of time, and allows us to just stroll and enjoy ourselves a little more...it seems worth it to me!

I just love you DISers!!!

You have to buy them at the park. Do it early as they sell out (DH went tonight and they told him the Quick Queues were sold out by 3 pm today).

Thank you! I had just found this online, probably as you were typing.

"Quick Queue allows you the opportunity to skip the lines at our thrill rides. Each pass allows a one-time front of the line experience at Manta, Skytower and Paddle Boats as well as unlimited front of the line experiences at Kraken, Journey to Atlantis, and Wild Arctic. Save time and make the most of your day by skipping ride lines. To purchase Quick Queue visit our ticket windows, Guest Services, the Guest Assistance Center, or Dining, Tours & Reservations Counter inside the park. Prices start at $29.95 per person. Limited quantities available daily.
* Quick Queue pricing is seasonal"

$19.99 each for DH & I is something I'm willing to pay...$29.95 I'm not so sure about. Hopefully the price will be lower in the fall. Also, from reading some other threads I have been reassured that if we arrive at park opening we'll be able to do most things even if we don't purchase Quick Queue.

Doesn't mention anything about seating for the shows...as some have mentioned.

By the way inkoggnito, I have enjoyed reading your Examiner articles when they were posted, and didn't realize until this week that it was you! They're great, keep 'em coming! :wizard:

Glad you enjoy the articles...I have a blast writing 'em.

I think that Manta is actually unlimited with Quick Queue now. I will double check with DH when he gets home (he's still in line waiting for a last ride).

Update: the SeaWorld brochures do list Manta as having unlimited Quick Queue rides.

Thanks for the update! :thumbsup2 DH will be glad to know that. Me...I think I may be too chicken for Manta...but at least I won't have to wait as long for DH to ride it.

including Manta. Just used it this week, well worth the $20 or so per person. Wait for Manta was minimum of 45 minutes at opening and never under 90 the rest of the day, most over 2 hours.

With Quick Queue we never waited more than 10 minutes for Manta, walk-on for the rest.

Manta is a fantastic coaster, back row has most G-forces - front was actually a lot calmer of a ride. Just a hint for those afraid of this ride.

A few employees agreed with this opinion.

Went yesterday and Quick Queue was listed at $19.95 for unlimited front of line and reserved seating at Reflections. Well worth it if you are planning to ride the rides.
