We’re finally booking our flight for July. We have hotel/tickets etc... but have been watching flights and now noticed that Southwest flight prices are going up. And some flights no longer even appear. Has anyone else noticed this? do you think people are changing upcoming spring trips to the summer instead? We’re flying out of Providence, RI into Orlando.

SW flights fluctuate constantly! But if your flight price goes down, you can get essentially a "price adjustment" either in points back in your account or a "travel fund". (Maybe cash back if you book a fare other than "wanna get away"... I'm cheap, and that's what I always book.)

Oh thanks. Honestly, I didn’t know that. If we have to cancel (due to coronavirus) do we have a year from when we purchase or a year from the date of when we are flying out?

Thank you. That’s what I thought which makes things difficult. We have lots to think about. Thank you!
Yeah, I really wish it was from date of the original flight. I‘m having a hard time deciding if I want to book flights tomorrow, because who knows what things will be like in September, and we don’t know if we will be able to use them by this time next year.

We are flying Southwest Providence to Orlando end of July. We booked on opening day back in December and paid about 265 RT each. Prices have not only skyrocketed but they also have cancelled actual flights. There were 4 flights per day to choose from and now there are only 2 or 3 flights. Have you looked at Jet Blue? Their prices for that time have dropped significantly in the last week (probably due the corona virus)

Thank you for the reply. I will check out JetBlue. I hadn’t seen anything earlier but it’s worth another look! Thanks!
