SW flight schedule changes

Does SW change their flight schedules when they release new booking schedules? I'm looking at their March flight schedules and am wondering if flight selections will change drastically when they release the new booking schedule next week. TY

SWA almost never makes changes to their flight schedules after they open for booking. That's one reason that they don't open booking until much closer to the travel dates than most of the legacy carriers do. In all of my trips on SWA I've had changes of a few minutes one way or another only maybe twice and received advance notice each time.

We booked our tickets out of New Orleans to MCO for Oct 28 on May 15. They have not changed at all.

Well, if that's the question then the answer is, yes, that's certainly possible. The daily schedule of flights can vary pretty significantly from one block of dates to another.

Yes, in my experience they do change quite a bit with SWA as they release new booking dates. We had thought about going to WDW in September 2010 and I recall looking at the flight schedule and none of the flights were at convenient times or with decent layovers.

We bought tickets for this September and the schedule was great! We were able to get direct flights in both directions and at convenient times.

Yes the schedule may change from flight block to flight block. I try not to get my hopes up as I wait for flight times to come out... It has changed for the April flights several times in the past and I have needed to change car rental times because I jumped the gun.

This is one of the reasons behind why they open their schedule in chunks. Supposedly it should help cut down on the number of changes they make after the schedule is out. By the time they release the schedule they should have all their ducks in a row.

Yes, in my experience, every time I look at the present schedule in anticipation of figuring out what the flight times might be on certain days when the new schedule opens, I'm always quite surprised. Even when the schedule is already open for one weekend, and I'm waiting for the schedule to open for the following weekend, the flight schedules look totally different.
