SW Flight Points Changed While Booking!

Not too happy with SW. Points changed from the time I clicked on the flight that I wanted, entered passenger & payment information to when I clicked on "Purchase". It was a matter of 5 minutes or so.

It still shows the original points needed, but when I clicked on "purchase", I received this error message:

Oops! This form has the following errors

• Not enough funds to purchase a ticket. Make sure the total amount of form of payments matches total ticketing price (SW101201-biHe9dHkSeehoskmURWIyw)

I called customer service and was told that I didn't have enough points. I said but I have more than enough points and she said that the points went up from the time I chose the flight.

Seems there were X number of flights available at Y points, but by the time you went to pay those had sold out. As such, it bumps you to the next price point. Happens all the time, with or without points, with airlines and other things.

yup..... it happens...could be for the number of tickets also, try one at a time to see if any are left at lower price

Happened to me this morning also. I was booking 4 tickets and by the time I typed in all the information and clicked Purchase, I got the same message. The price had jumped from $156 to $195 to MCO and then return flight jumped from $135 to $195. I also checked for 1 or 2 persons vs. 4 persons. I was afraid not to get the tickets since there were only 2 morning non-stop flights, so we paid almost $400 more for the 4 seats. Very frustrating. I will keep watching to see if prices go down. I would think if you have tickets in your cart, they would stay at the price until you finish purchase or reject them.
