SW Flight Booking

Watching price of flights go up from St. Louis to MCO for the end of May. Hate to book at this high of price since I'm booking for family of 14! Will prices go down at all? Got too many that would not use funds if book and flights go down. What to do!

personally i suggest stalking the SW website.

i watched flight prices for a particular set of dates i wanted for a month and almost every day the prices went up and down and up and down and then went down a fairly sugnificant amount which is when i booked.

its very likely that they will play around with the prices for a while for the end of may.

so i would just wait it out for a little while to see if the price comes down.

i also noticed that it seemed to be between 2am-9am that the prices were lowered and then it seemed like they'd go back up for the rest of the day.

i don't like that airlines play games with us but i do like that i play along and beat them lol.

also i believe your party size can be considered for group rates which can sometimes come with a discount so i would look into that.

It's difficult to say. Our family began looking as soon as prices came out from BWI in March. Weekend rates have not changed except for one or two flights with stops or very late departures. After months of watching everyone decided to drive. Currently, fares on the weekends range from 250 - 366 EACH way. We all agree we have never seen rates this high. Check every day. Maybe your airport will offer a few deals. Good luck

Agree with this. I also stalk the Southwest site for price decreases. I also think the suggestion to look into group rates is worthwhile It's only a phone call, and could be well worth your time.

are you checking rates for all 14 at once? if so, try inputting 1 or 2 people to see what rate pops up, might be much lower
