SW experts!!Guess-timates on June/July?

Q#1: Any thoughts on when late June/July schedule will be released?

Q#2: Is it best to grab the initial fare & then hope for a DING?

Have only flown SW once , still shakey as to the booking/cancelling in another window/rebooking business...seems to be scary stuff to a newbie.

Southwest is the reason we bought DVC low flares from Philly. Love Southwest.

From PIT the fares are comparable to AT (who i run CC rewards thru). Still have a voucher or 2 floating around but they averaged 5-10 schedule changes on flights over the last year, ranging up to 12 hours!

SW didn't change the schedule once for the Oct. flight I booked. Think i can easily get used to the SW re-booking hoops .

We have been traveling with SW for 3 years now and average 5 trips a year. I book the flights I want as soon as they come out and then play the watch and wait game. I have about $300.00 in credit right now and the best part is that I can use this credit for anyone. Southwest does NOT charge you anything to change or cancel a flight but you do need to use the credit within a year. I have also found out that you should not always rely on the Dings. Keep checking your days of travel.

We also book as soon as they are avail then just adjust when a Ding or sale comes up.
