I just checked DH in for his flight and thought I would receive a conformation and an A, B or C boarding number. I didn't get either. Why?

if it is EBCI you have purchased

Southwest does an automatic checkin for you at the 36 hour point

then at the 24 hour point you can go on and see what boarding number you were assigned

since they sign you in at the 36 hour mark, your number will reflect that moment in time and not the 24 hour mark

Thanks for the information.

I wanted to avoid going online at the 24 hour point...which is why I used EBCI.

The reservation has three passengers on it...I will be able to check in the others and see DH's boarding number at the same time?

are all three of you EBCI ?

if so you will have all your numbers assigned at 36 hour mark....

If NOT, when you check in at any time after the 24 hour mark, the other two will be assigned numbers at that point, but the number your husband "gets" will have been assigned at 36 hour mark

hope this makes sense

I booked my September trip on the first day fares were released and got $79 each way. If I remember correctly even later that day fares jumped up quite a bit. I have been checking a few times a week and haven't seen any cheaper fares on SW (although they do jump around a bit). I rarely see Dings from Midway to Orlando so for me it didn't make sense for me to wait.

My advice would be to book as soon as possible if the fares are good.

Have a good trip!

Here's some boarding INFO for SWA.

Put this on the wrong post earlier

Boarding is as follows

1. Preboard (Wheelchair, guests needing extra time)
2. Business Select (A1 - A15)
3. A16 - A30 ***Typically "A" Listers and EBC*****
4. A31 - A60
5. Parents with small children (Under 4)
6. B1 - B30
7. B31 - B60
8. C1 - C30
9. C31 - ??

My Advice, don't be the guy with the "C" boarding card
