SW Ding Technical questions

I see in the Ding technical requirements that you need IE. Is that just for the download? Do you have to be running IE in order for Ding to work or does it run independent of any browser being open? Reason I ask is I have IE, but I usually use Netscape day-to-day (not IE) and I wanted to know the nity gritty details before I do the Ding download.

I am looking for Chicago to Phoenix (ORD to PHX) and back ~8/23-8/25. Thanx!

Same here - I use Mozilla Firefox at home and IE at work. My DING program works flawlessly with either. It works in the background, so you don't need a browser open per say, just be sure the firewall is not blocking its access to the internet.
