Yeah, good old Norton :sad2:

I am able to download Ding and it pops up - lets me choose cities - but when I click "update registration" it says "Unable to connect to Southwest.com"

I have pop-up blocker disabled.

I have 'permit all' under Firewall-configure-program control for Ding.

Windows pop up blocker is set to allow it (but I've tried turning it off too)

Anyone know a work around with Norton and Ding?

It's NIS 2006.

Thanks!

Oh yeah - I'm running IE7 - if that makes a difference at all.

Ditto here. I'm using Firefox, if that makes a difference.

Update- I just turned Norton off and was able to connect. Ack! What's up with that????

I had the same problem and when my DH shut the virus protection off to download Ding and then reactivated it, my computer did not run right for a week. I got three trojans just like that and have to scan the darn thing everynight. Uggghhhhh! I hate a slow computer, but I love Ding and will need it activated for my upcoming trip.

I just renewed and reloaded Norton and I'm encountering the same problem. Grrrrr.

I am no help at all, but I run Firefox, have Ding, have Norton and firewalls and anti-virus, etc. and have no problem with it (knock on wood). :confused3 I know that I have pop up blockers enabled. Hopefully, someone will be able to help you. I love Ding and got $29 fares for July from St. Louis a few weeks ago. ;) Good luck.

Dont know if you found your answer for this yet but I was having the same problem until I realized that you are NOT supposed to click the "update Registration" button. There is another button "register" underneath your zip code and Rapid Rewards Number....scroll down just a little - its there but lower on the page.

I actually ended up getting our tickets on United for a good fare, so I deleted the program.

But thank you for responding. I'm sure it might help someone else who has the same issue.

I just had the same problem tonight downloading DING on my friends computer. It was driving me NUTS!! I'll have to try again.....:confused3
