Probably way too soon to ask, but just curious: has there been any chatter about offering SW Days at Sea for 2017? We have booked a cruise on the Fantasy next Feb., and I was wondering what the chances are that this cruise will become a SW cruise at some point in the future.

Leah's review was not exactly glowing, so I am not sure I'd pay a 20% premium for the added SW stuff. And it looks like DCL has had to offer some FL Resident discounts on a few of these cruises, so I am not sure how well they are selling. All that being said, if I've locked up my Feb. cruise fare before the SWDAS 20% premium kicks in, then I guess I win.

Anyone heard anything? I am guessing with "Rogue One" premiering next Dec., that might be enough of an "event" to justify another round of SW cruises.

Thanks.

I think they may do one in 2018, not next year. Coincide with the episodes not the shoot offs. Or maybe not at all, I know a majority in our Facebook group from the inaugural one were not happy and think everyone else wasn't happy, but not sure how accurate that is.

We just finished our SWDAS sailing (the 3rd of the 8) and were very happy with a few exceptions. I know they made changes after the first sailing. For example, Jedi Training on the first only had 16 kids or so per group (from what I heard). Ours had 30 per. It also looked like they were making an effort to pick kids they saw at multiple sessions. Mine got picked on our second attendance.

They also made a change with serving second seating dinner 15 minutes earlier. We made it to the deck to watch the show with 30 minutes to spare and got very good seats with no effort.

I really hope they do more sailings in the future! We had a blast.

EDIT: Sorry - wrong thread!

If Disney is going to permanently move the traditional SW movie release month from May to December (as it seems they might), I was thinking that SWDAS might become a regular seasonal event, like Halloween and Xmas, only in Jan./Feb.

I guess they have some time to tally the surveys from the cruises, see what needs to be tweaked, and see if it's still worth doing. I'd just love to have the satisfaction of doing SWDAS and not pay the premium.
