My friend just found out his flight to DW is available for $99.00 less per ticket.
I told him to call and get a credit if possible. He wasn't going to bother because he doesn't plan to travel in the next year. Can I advise him that he could transfer the credit to a family member or friend (like me LOL)?
If so any idea how to do this??

You can actually do it no problem. All anyone needs is the reservation # and name of the person on the ticket. You can then access the 'ticketless travel funds' and apply them to any purchase. It's really easy. The main stipulation is you have to use the $ before one year from the date of the original ticket purchase. For example: I bought our tickets June 1st for about $400. There was a sale June 20th. I rebooked at the lower price of $200 and now I have a credit of $200 which must be used before June 1st of 2006.

I have always found the people on the phones at SW to be extremely helpful. He should probably call and make sure about all the 'rules'. My info might be outdated.

Also, he might want to try and call their customer service #. A number of people have had success in having their credit card credited back with the difference. It seems to depend on what type of ticket was originally purchased? I don't really understand that part - but it doesn't hurt to ask!

reservation number and the name of the person on the CC used to book the fare are needed to transfer
