SW credit ???? Extension possible???

I am almost positive that I was told by SW that you can get a 3 month extension on a credit. I called last night to ask about this and she said she was 100% sure this was NOT TRUE but she game me the customer relations number to call. I have a 30 buck credit expiring on Oct. 23rd and I wanted to use it for our Nov. trip but she said the travel had to be completed by that Oct. date. So has anyone ever gotten an extension?? Thanks

I was told they can extend it up to 6 months post the expiration date. I called the 214 #, not the 800 #.

Thanks. I knew I was told that too....but wasn't sure if it were 3 or 6? So did you actually get the extension? Or are you waiting to call for it?

You definitely CAN get a 6-month extension! I have done it twice (two separate TTFs, not double extensions), but I wrote to Customer Service both times. I didn't know that it could be done by phone, since the SW rep that I spoke to just gave me the address to send the request letter(s). In the future, if I need to extend a TTF, I will try by phone.

But either way, the ability to use that credit for up to 18 months is one of the reasons I SWA! (Gotta' say those Ding fares are the main reason. .)

Both my parents and I got 6 month extensions on our credits by calling the 800 number. We had no problem at all-it was great! Call again!

My 6 month extension voucher arrived by mail today! I called last week tuesday and was able to take care of it by phone. You have to call their customer relations number, though. The regular reservatiosn agents aren't able to take care of it.
