SW Cost for May??

We are getting ready to book a flight on Southwest for late May, when it opens up. We have not flown for a while, What do you think a price of a ticket should be from Kansas City to Orlando?? The ICE storm in MO has changed our plans so have less days, no time to drive. ANY HELP....THANKS..

I paid 707.70 total for 3 tickets roundtrip to Orlando from KC on Midwest Airlines back in October. My patience ran out and I couldn't wait for Southwest to open up its schedule.

I bet you'll find tickets on SW for less than $200-$250 per person roundtrip if you book when the dates first open up. (and maybe even less expensive than that!!) Hope this helps and have a wonderful trip!

I was sitting by the computer a few months ago waiting for March to be released so I feel your pain! But, all that waiting paid off because I got flights from Kansas City to Orlando for $49 each way. Our whole family is going for $468. Woohoo!! Be ready and you can scoop up some great deals, but they go fast!

Our last 4 trips have all been for $49. The most I have ever paid MCI to MCO is $79/person at Christmas.

For our trip in May of last year, we paid approx. $130 RT per person on SWA from KC to MCO. The May airfares usually don't book up as fast as the ones in March. I wasn't as lucky as Aleson and missed (by 3-4 hours) when they first opened up the March dates for this year. By the time I checked, the cheapest was from STL and it was $365 per person and MCI-MCO was even higher. Wasn't going to pay that so now unless a DING comes through, I guess we will be driving in March.

I'm taking my laptop with me to WDW in Feb. so I can check for DINGS for March and for SWA to open schedule for our May trip. (By the way our airfare from MCI-MCO on SWA in Feb. is only $117 RT per person.)
