I purchased an 11am direct flight for about $140 (I can't remember exactly, and can't find it on my itinerary, where would I see that?). At the time, the 7:45am direct flight was more expensive, or else I would have chosen it. Now both of these flights are $302. I have been watching every day to see if the 7:45am flight will drop in price. I CANNOT switch to the 7:45am without paying the difference, even though my current (11am) flight is the same price now, right? Just checking, just in case! I don't want to waste any time, I wanna get to the World! Thanks!

If you paid $140 for your flight and want to change to a different flight that costs $302 then you will have to pay an additional $162 to do so. Southwest knows what you paid for the flight and that is the amount of credit you will receive if you decide to change to a different flight.

If you want to see the price you paid, go ahead and under the 'book air' tab select change flight. Then follow that through, including selecting the new flight. Keep clicking continue, nothing will be permanent yet. You will get to a screen that shows you EXACTLY what the new flight would cost and exactly what the old flight already cost you AND the difference in price between the two. Then STOP at that point. You will have your answer, and nothing will have changed. There probably is an easier way to figure out the price paid, but this also works.
