Any rumblings yet from Southwest regarding their birthday sale this year? Hoping we can catch a bit of a break on tickets from KC to Orlando. Prices are almost $100 more each way than we paid last trip. Ouch!

Do you happen to know how far out travel dates went with past birthday sales? I know their sale is in late June, but we don't travel until December.

I sure hope they do something. I've had my tickets for our September trip for months and they have not changed in all that time. They did go up a few dollars on the outgoing and went up 40 dollars on the coming home flight, but they have stayed that way for months. I've never had SW flights that didn't fluctuate some.

Is their birthday sale in late June? I'm glad that I saw your post because we have to book by the end of this month. Here's hoping.

Another one waiting anxiously for the birthday sale. Last year the sale fares came out on Tuesday, June 21st, so I have my calendar flagged for Tuesday, June 19th hoping for a repeat.

Will SW announce their BD sale before it takes place ? Or you just have to check their website ? TIA

I think I got an e-mail for it last year but I'm not entirely sure since we hadn't planned on going anywhere. My parents used it though and Dad says he just kept getting online and checking every so often and it popped up one day, like previous poster, he thought it was a Tuesday, third week of June. Doesn't remember getting an e-mail though. Still have my fingers crossed...

I got in on it last year....it started on a Tuesday and ran for only 3 days. My flights were not included in the sale until the afternoon on the Thursday(last day of sale). We went to WDW at the end of August and got our airfare for $80 each way.

I would love to see a break on the flights that I already have booked.....I've paid way more than I usually pay. Like....$120/person. If I could get a nice credit I would be able to plan a short Nov/Dec trip to visit MVMCP.

Please tell me how the birthday sale works.

Thanks!

SWA has a birthday sale in mid - June which last for 72hours and it is only good on flights from mid - Aug to mid-Nov.

You just have to watch their site or sign up for their Ding program and they will automatically send you the announcement.

Hope this helps you.

Hi I am interested in this, so it is usually around mid June, no specific dates/ Does it usually run Tues thru....a day or is it date specific...say us usually starts on say June 16? Thanks

Fares have gone down $44 each way since last Monday for our dates.

Getting nervous that if the birthday sale comes along next week there won't be any deals for my days (Saturdays). The deal that came along today didn't have any good deals for me so I'm starting to panic that we may be driving to Disney this year. Getting bummed! :sad1:

Their Bday is 6/18 and the past 2 years they've done deals on 6/21 & 6/22 which was Tuesday-Thursday. Fridays & Sundays were excluded the past 2 years.
