So now that the June 18th hype of Southwest's big prize day is at a close, did any Dis Members get a prize? I figure the good people here deserve a prize or two!! So, anyone get anything more than the e-card? I was disappointed with the weak excuse for Dings that Hartford had. :confused3

Agter all the candles were blown out, I was waiting for something more. I literally said outlous, "That's it?" My husband was in the other room and asked me who I was talking to!:rotfl2:

What a disappointment...

My reaction precisely! Whoopy! A card and an insulting Ding! That's all I got.:headache:

I read something today I found interesting.. Southwest isn't one of the participating airlines that works with ME. I'm not sure on the details, but it sounds like they don't have check in at the hotel (so ME can take your luggage)..and almost the same when you arrive in MCO.

Is anyone familiar with this?

We flew SW this past September and they were particiapting- just not for the return trip. We checked our luggage on the way down, but took care of our own for the return trip. It really was not a big deal though. We just put our own luggage on the ME bus (with assistanc from the driver), unloaded it at MCO (with assisatance from the driver) and wheeled it in to check it (with assitance from a skycap).

It would have been nice not to have to handle it from the resort until we got home, but it wasn't hassle enough for me to not use ME altogether or try a different airline.

Ditto! I don't mind one bit getting my luggage to the checkin counter if it means keeping lower fares! I hope they never join the Airline Check In service at Disney. That is different than ME.
