We always fly SW out of KC. Just decided to take a trip down the week before X-mas. I thought that we would have many choices on flights since it is still 3 months away but on the least expensive flights it says "unavailable" does this mean they are booked? Will there ever be more available between now and then? I am so disappointed because without a decent price on plane fair we will not be able to go! Thanks for any advice!

If it says "unavailable" it means that fare bucket is sold out. You could still see a sale, or a Ding! that could beat that rate, but most likely the "unavailable" fare won't reappear.

I agree with gw_lit. I know that here in Tulsa, once SWA shows unavailable, it truly is. I know that sucks, doesn't it?

Many times in the more busy seasons, the best fares are simply not offered and the "unavailable" will be at the very top. I know this happens during Spring Break and I would guess the week before Christmas would also be a busy season. Still watch the ding fares because they cut the "fun fares" by 40+% and might be an option for you. Best wishes on getting good fares!
