Are there certain times of year when they run this credit card promotion? I've done this a couple of times in the past and I'm due again. I keep checking but only see the 25k offer. Anyone see the 50k points offer anywhere?
Usually I have seen it in the spring Mar or April. Last month they had folks in the airport by the SWA gate area asking folks to sign up for the 50K offer. Or if someone you know has the card they occasionally get offer cards to give to friends to sign up for the 50K miles. Mine just expired 9-30-14.
I'd be leery of supplying a SS# to a link I found by googling it especially since SWA is not offering the 50K deal on their own web site. Also noticed if you click the offer on SWA the web page address for the 25K offer is very different than the web page address of the googled 50K offer. SO be careful.

https://creditcards.chase.com/6000329 Underneath the *APPLY NOW* Button there is this option ...
*Or call 1-866-648-7776* ... which is a SWA 50K offer.

I agree that everyone should be leary of where they supply their information, but in this case I'm pretty sure it is legit. I actually applied using this link on Thursday, was approved, and now a SW card shows when I log in to my chase account with my other credit cards.
It did seem odd to me that it didn't have an option to log-in to chase if you already have a chase account, but I didn't think about it being a bad site at the time. Guess I lucked out. Identity theft would be a big hassle to deal with.
I got the 50K with this link as well, I agree you should be leery, but this link is legitimate. I think any of the http://creditcards offers are legitimate, I have applied to other before as well.
If this offer is dead you could still get the Chase Sapphire Preferred 40K offer, and transfer the points to SW.
It is going thru, but the welcome email does not mention the 50,000 points and the rules to get them (spend $2000 or something, I will charge our life insurance yearly premium, due in a few weeks, so done!)
