If I read the email correctly I don't need to renew and my membership is good for another 10 years. Is that correct?

Dear Shareholders Club Members,

Following the announcement, on February 10, of the recapitalization plan of Euro Disney S.C.A. by The Walt Disney Company, the Shareholders Club informs you of the suspension of memberships and renewals (online and/or by mail) from Friday, March 31 2017 on, till the end of the operations.

As announced at the General Meeting, all active members of the Shareholders Club as of March 31, 2017 will benefit from a 10-year extension of their card, as from the end of the operations.

By the end of the operations:

All the cards expiring by the end of the operations will automatically be extended and re-magnetized, without any action on your part. Thank you to keep your active card and to note take into account any expiration date written on this card.

The benefits and services will remain unchanged.

At the end of the operations:

A new card will be delivered to all active members, valid 10 years, without any action on your part. This card will grant you the same advantages and services as previously.

We will keep you informed through our corporate website and our Shareholders Club, which you can find at the following address:

Disneyland Resort Paris and click on the "Club Publications" link.

As of this day, Friday, March 31st, 2017, midnight, no new membership (new members) will be not taken into account nor accepted.

That is what I got via email also. I do nothing and later my card will be adjusted with a 10 extensions.

If you have already a valid card which in my case in valid for 5 years .... yes.

the confusing part is what do they mean with the wording "end of operation" and what is the difference between "by the end of operation" and "at the end of operation"? Maybe it is my lack of knowledge of financial English or it might be an awkward translation from French. I assume that "by" in this context means "until"? And the "end of operations" the end of EuroDisney SCA being a public traded company?

I got this email too.
Can I say I'm really happy about how this turned out?
I've alwayd been positive that TWDC would have granted a "free extension" after the complete takeover, but I was expecting a couple of years, 10 is very generous!

Yes, I do appreciate the extension as well. I think they felt that they needed to do something like that to make sure that they catch enough of the small shareholders who bought in order to become members of the club. They really need to get 95% of the shares, so every single share is important for them. With this those people who thought they might not sell in order to hang onto their club membership will be more likely to sell as it does not matter now if they sell or if they don't. Smart move.

From reading the discussions on Facebook & Twitter and polls I've carried out on my blog it appears that the majority of shareholders that took part and going to hold onto their shares and only sell to TWDC if they are forced if the company is delisted from the Euronext Paris.

This might effect TWDC hitting the magic 95% of shares they need.

Very pleased about this! Just so I'm clear though, does this mean that even if I sell my shares during the offer I will remain a member of the shareholders club for 10 years?
