Sushi at CG and the DxDDP

I have tried to search for the answer to this question, but I can't seem to find it. We will be going to WDW in October and will be on the DxDDP. We are interested in trying California Grill, and my DSs would love to have sushi for an appetizer and an entree. Can they do this, and if so, which sushi is eligible on the dining plan?

When we were there in Oct with the DxDDP we could order any of the sushi except the 2 most expensive (Yoshie's Platter and the Dragon Roll) as appetizers. Yoshie's Platter and the Dragon Roll could be ordered as entrees.

We had the Spicy Kazan and California Rolls for our appetizers. The Spicy Kazan was very good, but the Cali Roll was pretty ordinary. Coming from California we have Cali Rolls at almost every grocery store and Japanese restaurant so I should have ordered something else!

Yes, my DS got a Cali roll for an appy and the platter for his meal.

Thanks to OP for the question and the responders for answers. I was looking for this answer because my DH loves sushi, but my DS and I are not big fans. California Grill should be a win/win for us!
