Sushi Anyone

Going to Disney Oct 1st,07. My DW and I have developed a love for Sushi. What are the place for a variety of Sushi. Also has anyone been to the new Sosa cigar bar in PI. How late are they open.

Califorina Grill is good as well as Kimonoes over at the Swan (or is is dolphin, I get them mixed up).

My favourites are California Grill at the Contemporary and Kimonos at the Swan. There is also a Sushi Bar at Wolfgang Puck at Downtown Disney's West Side.

Is Matsunoma Lounge located in the Japan Pavillion effected by the Teppenyaki rehab?

The quality of sushi at Kimonos is as good as it gets anywhere, plus it's very relaxed. Wolfgang Puck's is good also, but the restaurant is very loud and crowded.

I love Sushi!!! Have never been to Kimonos but I will be going there this September. Do you need reservations??? Do they have entertainment???

Last time we were there, you could order sushi instead of an appetizer on the DDP. It was very good!

If you love sushi, then you owe it to yourself to go to Kimonos. The only way to explain it is to say that Kimonos is were businessmen and tourists in from Japan go to Kimonos. They do not take ADRs, and they have Karaoke after 9pm. Try the unagi sashimi, it melts like butter in your mouth.

Hmmm, eel is not to my taste, but the food there is good.

Yep....Tempura Kiku and Matsunoma Lounge will become the new restaurant there...I forget the name. But it is still supposed to feature sushi among other Japanese delights. I hope they bring back the same eel roll they had at Matsunoma...it was the best I have ever had anywhere...just melted in your mouth!

If you are there early enough on the 1st, at 3:30, the F&W festival is having the hard ticketed Sake, Sushi and Sashimi at Teppan Edo. From previous years, this has been a top notch event. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.

My understanding is that you can order sushi at Wolfgang Puck Cafe on the DDP, but it counts as your entree. So you can order an appetizer, sushi, and then dessert!
