Just wanted to update everyone ...

Susan has made it successfully through round 1 of her chemo. She had 1 1/2 hours of anti-nausea/anti-allergy meds, then 4 1/2 hours of chemo yesterday (Thursday) for a total of 6 hours. She had a rough night last night and day today, but by 8:30 PM tonight, she was totally exhausted and was hopefully heading for a restful nights sleep, as her nausea had slowed considerably.

She will be doing this every 3 weeks, for another 5 rounds. Her kiddos went home tonight with their dad, first time in 1 1/2 weeks, so hoping everyone gets a good nights sleep.

Thank you for your wonderful caring thoughts and concerns. Susan has now surpassed yet another hurdle in this long road ahead ... and taking them one at a time is the way to go ... slow and steady wins the race!

Please let Susan know she is also in my thoughts and prayers. I pray for her health and speedy recovery and for her family.
Thank you for posting the updates. It's nice to see such a caring family and community!

Hi:
Just read about this today, so sorry to hear that Susan has to go thru all this, hoping that it is behind her now, and a bright, healthy future for her.
My prayers and good wishes are heading her way.

Deb,

More prayers and pixie dust from our family.

We just returned from a Disney vacation and just read this thread. Praying for more great progress.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes. Susan has a rough road ahead of her. Her first chemo came quickly on the heels of her surgery. Hopefully she'll get the rest and strength she needs over the next couple of weeks so that her next round of chemo will be a bit easier on her. We all appreciate the support we are getting from our DIS friends. Thanks so much.
Nancy, Debbie, Mary Liz, Susan

Thanks for the updates. Hopefully the next round of chemo will be better as Susan regains her strength. You are all in my prayers daily. Sending lots more pixie dust too.
