Survivor - Vanuatu

Ooops!!! I missed it!!!! Shows you how interested I was in it.

Ok, you can tell me. Who won?

too bad Chris won. But,the women had a chance to get rid of him and they didn't. Why? I don't know. They had a good plan that was working and they strayed from it.

Jeff kinda made it sound like he couldn't believe that Chris won over Twilla. And what was with the nobody in Survivor History has needed the money more than Twilla. I mean who couldn't use a million dollars.

It sounds like they are planning on changing up the show next time. I hope they change it up alot.

I thought the season was pretty good. I was glad they had different kinds of challenges this time. The vertical wall was cool last night, and I liked the bow and arrow for the final challenge. I'm glad it wasn't balancing with on had on a rock.

I too wish Twila would have won, but that is what happens when women vote! They vote mostly on emotions instead of who played the game.

It was great when Scout called Chris a Bull****ter. I was LOL! During Chris' answers I kept saying to myself COME ON! Is anyone buying this BS? Apparently they were.

OK, couldn't they have done Twila's hair better? Come on, she could potentially win a million bucks and they give her a horrible 80s, redneck mullet with huge bangs. She even has make-up on with the HORRIBLE hair!
Apparently someone agreed with you.
The final four are on the CBS Early show and her hair is completely different. It's shorter and the bangs are brushed to the side and not huge. Lots less hairspray too.

Sure, everyone can find a use for a million dollars. I think what Jeff meant was, nobody in the history of Survivor worked 3 jobs, 7 days a week. That million dollars could of truly changed Twila's life.

Now, does she work 3 jobs because she HAS to, or because she is a work-horse? I used to work multiple jobs. I once work 2 full time and a part-time job. I was not poor, I just liked making money, and I was single and had no kids, so why not? But Twila is a single mom, so she probably HAD to work.

Before Twila, I think Rupert was the most "needy" for the million dollars, and Survivor actually handed him the check, because when he didn't win All-Star, they had the viewer's vote for another winner. Knowing full-well Rupert's popularity, i am sure the Producer's of Survivor knew what they were doing.

Now, though she didn't win the million, I am sure the $100,000.00 will help her just a little. She may be able to quit one job. LOL.

I didn't have a problem with Chris winning. He lied and BS'd but he played the game well enough to overcome some major obstacles like the women's alliance and his own clumsy feet. :) Or maybe Twila's outspokenness just finally got on my nerves!

I really enjoyed Jeff's run through the jungle and parachute jump. Hilarious!

I wish Survivor would go back to the earlier ones, where they had no food, no native to show them how to get food off the land, and had to survive on their own. This last season they all looked well kept, didn't look like they went truly hungry, or had a real lack of sleep. Maybe Palao will be different!

I thought Jeff was going to give Twila a million after his little speach. Twila must have had a 4:00 a.m. makeover this morning.

What was up with Sarge's problem with Twila and her lie?

1st of all, I just want to say, they ran that into the ground. Enough about it already. She said something, she was in a game for a million dollars, she regrets it. DROP IT. I can see Ami being upset, I can see Leann being upset. Twila lied to them.

But Sarge? He wasn't even in the game! He did not even hear the lie. All he had was what he heard going on at the TC. For him to act like it was a personal insult for her to let her morals go so low, yet, Chris who lied to everyone was his buddy and pal?

Sarge said it last night, he has two years to figure out civilians, LOL!

I wish I would have caught them on the Early show this morning. I really want to see the difference with her hair. I bet she looked so different with a make-over.

I guess I am in the minority here, but I am glad Chris won. He played the game better than anyone else. I don't think he did anything worse than 90% of the other people who have played the game. To make it from 1 guy and 6 women to sole survivor is a great feat, I don't think anyone has overcome those odds.

I also don't think that people should vote on who needs the money most. It is not a charity, it is a game. Now, if a jury member absolutely hated both people, I could see people taking that into account, but I don't think it should be the major factor.

I think people (especially the contestants) tend to forget that this is a GAME! And in this type of game, anything goes. IF people haven't learned that from past Survivors, than they probably shouldn't be playing.

The next Survivor looks interesting. Since they are starting with 20 people instead of 18, I wonder what the twist is going to be. I am guessing 4 teams of 5, then they will merge into 3 teams, then two, etc. That is just my guess though.

I was rooting for Chris or Twila to win, so I was happy with last night's outcome.

I don't think anyone is saying the person who needs it the most should win. We all know it is a game. I actually got mad at one season(can't remember which one) where some one mentioned a person not needing the money. That should have nothing to do with it, and IMO, the backrounds of the players should be confidential to the other players. I think Brian in season 6 was well-off, but he hid that.

With that being said, if I were in the game and on the jury, and I would probably cast my vote for the person who needed the money the most. I am like that. But, if I were not allowed to know the financial backround of the contestants, I wouldn't be able to cast my vote based on need.

I saw the early show and didn't see a big difference in Twila's hair. What I saw was someone who was very uncomfortable in the limelight. She was obviously told before airing to mention the Elizabeth Glacier Pediatric Aids Foundation and the auction to raise money. She was nervous and had difficulty with the words and looked to Scout to help her remembering Elizabeth Glacier's last name.

It appeared to me that Chris was uncomfortable sharing his money with his fiancee. He didn't want her taking the check. What I found really odd was...he was not affectionate toward her at all. He didn't hold her hand...he didn't have his arm around her to celebrate this great event in his life.

Maybe he was just nervous? or maybe he doesn't want to get married now and share the $$? LOL

I wish I saw the show, or at least remembered to Tivo it!

He probably thinks he can "trade up" now. He probably has no clue how fast that $$ is going to go, especially after he has to give about 1/2 to taxes! ;) LOL!

I thought that was a pretty entertaining night. The whole season was salvaged by the last few shows, IMHO. Once the women's alliance was broken up, and there was real suspense at tribal council, the show got pretty good.

Random thoughts:

I gagged every time the women moaned about how "they" could have one if the alliance had held together. Only one person wins, and she/he doesn't share the money with any alliance. And that person sure wouldn't have been Twila. So please put a cork in it.

Ami is the most self righteous person I've ever seen on the show. First she demands an apology from the final two. Then she makes a big production at the reunion about 'letting her anger go" and "forgiving" those two. Were they just supposed to let her win?

Sarge is a total jerk. He's sure to have a rocky re-introduction into civilian life, especially since he said he's used to having everybody do what their told to do.

Kudos to Scout for calling Chris on his BS; that was awesome. I couldn't believe how he got away with that, but he did.

It sounds like they're planning a major revamp of the rules next time (although they've said that before). I hope so, because now everybody shows up with a strategy in place, and before they even hit the beach solid alliances are formed. It's the smart way to go, but it's not good TV.

I don't think Sarge mean it like he was used to people taking his orders, just military life in general is very structured and he is used to that.

I am also another one who is glad Chris won and thought he deserved it. Why is everyone upset about the lying? That's part of the game. There is no way he could have survived until the end playing it straight. I thought Twila was a twit and treated Eliza like garbage and was so annoyed that she got the chance to gloat.

I didn't care for the reunion show. Jeff spent too much time on the members of the jury and talking about the same issues. I to would have been interesting to hear about other things that went on, like the incident with the chicken wings and what the guys' reaction was when they found out what the girls did.

I do hope they change things up at Palau. It is getting way too predictable, although I did like the new twist to the maze challenge - making it a vertical maze.

I thought the final episode was pretty good too. It played out the way I thought it would if Chris won immunity. Good for him- he really had to scramble and come from behind. I thought he didn't have a prayer when they voted out Rory, Sarge then Chad.

Thought the reunion show was a total yawner. Tribal council was interesting though- could Eliza glare and roll her eyes any more than she did?!?! And she IS a spoiled brat- I'm so sure- DEMANDING an apology from them...that's like forcing someone to tell you that they love you before they are ready. She was just as snotty to Twila as Twila was to her in my opinion. And I agree about Ami- at first I liked her, but she got a tad too big for her britches--I think she is beautiful though; in some ways her looks remind me of Sharon Stone.

I would have liked to see the reaction to the chicken wings too; that and what has totally bugged me is when Ami told Eilza how she had her back every single time. Um, excuse me, but when Eliza, Scout, Twila and Chris booted Leann, who were Leann, Ami and Jules all going to vote for? Eliza!!!!!! They may not have actually voted for her; I can't remember now.

I hope the money Twila got goes a long ways for her....although it's "only" $100,000, for someone who seems to live pretty simply, that could go a long ways, even after taxes. It could pay off her mortgage or put a big chunk down on a house...pay off bills....help her son through college if that's what he wants...and by doing that, she probably won't have to work so much! I know $100,000 would really help us A LOT and I wouldn't be disappointed with it.
