Survivor - Vanuatu

If Scout can manage to hang on and be one of the final 2, wouldn't she deserve to win?

Not really---not if you consider that traditionally post season 1 & 2 I think (richard and the one from australia--I'm not getting her name at the moment)..the person who won immunity brought someone with them who they thought they could beat. Not that it always worked--but if Scout was brought to the final 2--no I don't think she deserves to win. An alliance pulled her to the final 4, not any of her physical skills. Marqueses was the first where the lady (name problem again!) won I think without ever winning Immunity--now that is really good. I just don't see Scout in the same league as that...she's never really come CLOSE to winning challenges.

If she's up against Eliza or Chris--they either of them would deserve it more for somehow SURVIVING all the votes.

Is Tina who you're thinking about?

I have missed out on quite a few reality shows I now like..Survivor & Amazing Race...First season watching AR..Watched the last 2 or 3 of survivor...

I like the reunion shows also, it is fun to see how different they look all cleaned up.

I'm not sure that Twila and Scout CAN be cleaned up...

Just an observation about the way Survivor has changed over the seasons.

At the beginning of this season I thought it was pretty lame, and there were no "characters" that stood out for me (aka Rupert, Boston Rob, Johnny Fairplay) but continued to watch.

What really struck me last night if you look at the first few Survivor's it was all about outwit, outlast and outplay. However over time it has changed because the players now know what they are getting into when they appear. Julie said it today on "CBS GoodMorning" that she had watched all the other Survivors and knew what to expect. (as an aside; she was however, shocked at Twila (swearing on her son) and Chris and the friendship thing.....and I thought - didn't she just say she watched all the Survivors - that's how it works!!)
Looking at the first few Survivors, you can definately say that the only one who should really be in this final 4 would be Chris. Twila and Scout definately are weaker, but I think that they are playing the game really well because they are still there. I always wonder what they edit out. Sure, Scout can't do the challenges, but she wasn't voted out (or even written down until Ami went) so I'd say that's playing well! Twila - she is so annoying, but still there. Same with Eliza - although she was hanging by a thread a couple of times. Good for the 4 of them. They certainly aren't the ones I would have picked at the beginning!!

I can't wait until Sunday. My money is on Chris because I believe he dodged the biggest bullet with the male/female alliance. Maybe Sarge was right not feeling betrayed at Chris voting him off. I think it'll be Chris and Twila in the final two........maybe?

The only person I like that's left is Eliza, I don't even like Chris anymore.

Chris would be a fool to turn on Eliza because there's no way Scout or Twilla would take him to the final 2. Plus the last immunity challenge is almost always one that involves stamina and Twilla won the last challenge like that, hanging on to the pole.

I hope Eliza wins every immunity and takes Scout to the finals, just to screw Chris over, he's gotten way too cocky and very annoying.

Wow, those are all the things I was just going to say! :earseek:
I do hope Eliza wins. I think Twila will make it to the final 2 because no matter who she's up against she can't win.

you can definately say that the only one who should really be in this final 4 would be Chris

I really don't think he should be in the final 4 because if it was like the past seasons like you were saying, Chris would've been the first one off.

I know what you mean. For as boring as this season was it sure did go by fast.

I know, it really did fly by. I can't believe it's already almost done, especially since there were 2 more contestants then usual.

They took care of that easily--they eliminated 2 in one week earlier in the season.

I think all the season's "drag" b/c the show is like 10-12 weeks long. Then when they get to that 6 it just seems to speed up. I notice that with all the seasons--but that might be just me.

It seems to me that this has to be the most thin skinned jury in a long time. I can see being upset at the moment of being voted out, but some of the members are shooting looks that could kill, and making faces, days after the fact. It should make for some interesting questions at the final TC.

OK, couldn't they have done Twila's hair better? Come on, she could potentially win a million bucks and they give her a horrible 80s, redneck mullet with huge bangs. She even has make-up on with the HORRIBLE hair!

She IS a mullet wearing redneck. I should know...I live in the land of the redneck mullet

I have a feeling that is her own doing.....yikes

Perhaps, but you would think they could say something like "You could be winning $1 million, why don't you try something new." I can't watch this anymore, the hair is just AWFUL!!! It should be illegal to have hair like that.

I thought this season started weak but finished in good shape.

I think Chris took a risk voting out Eliza and going to the final three with Scout & Twila. Twila was pretty darn good at challenges and if she would have won that last round I think she would have taken Scout, despite what she said. If he had gone to the final three with Scout & Eliza, either of them would have taken him to the final two.

Although I wasn't crazy about Twila, at the end I was pulling for her to win just because I couldn't stand all of the lies coming out of Chris.

I thought the jury questioning was pretty good. Better than some in the past that were real boring.

Did it bug anyone else in that challenge where they had to climb the structure and get the blocks when Jeff kept saying how many "pairs" they had. Isn't "pair" the plural form of the word too?

We were LOL at Jeff having to machete his way through the jungle to get to the plane. I guess it all is supposed to be somewhat tongue in cheek when its showing him making his way back to the live studio.

Ami sure looked pretty at the reunion and I was impressed with her. She didn't seem so "evil" anymore! Eliza said she "loves" Twila now but later her comments made it seem like she still is kinda mad when she thinks about it! Did it seem to anyone else at the reunion show that Jeff acted like he wished Twila had won? Seems like at every opportunity he was subtly putting Chris down.

Overall I'd give Survivor Vanuatu a B- or C+.

I dunno. I could see Eliza taking Scout. A better bet would have been Eliza and Twila. No way would either of those two taken the other!!

My DW noticed that also. Jeff sees a lot more than we do and I'm sure he has his own opinions as to who he would like to see win or go far in the game. Maybe he was just trying to balance things, instead of so much on Twila's swearing on her son's name he's reminding them about what Chris did.

I just about forget the finale was last night (shows what an impression this season made on me  ). I was channel surfing after 9pm and when I came across Survivor, I thought for a second that it was a repeat of Thurs. episode. It wasn't til I realized that there were only 3 people sitting at TC and Chris was getting up to vote, did I remember that it was finale night.

Here's hoping for a more interesting season next time. I do think they (CBS) might need to revamp the show a bit.............we all know what to expect and when to expect it....right down to the contestants. For instance, I didn't see it but I bet that the final immunity challenge was an endurance thing...am I right??
