Survivor Thailand! (Possible Spoilers)

...I know I look sexy!"

Ken...not a huge surprise.

They're taking away all my eye candy :(
I thought Ted was going. So if you are a weaker player, mentally and physically you go farther? Is that the way it works?

Clevage?? ewwww

Anyway, so it seems apparent that the tribes are still split down tribal lines...

I didn't get to watch it tonight. Can someone provide details? Thanks!

Don't want to wreck it for anyone who hasn't seen it tonight...but personally very SURPRISED! Insight needed. :) :) :D

I think the West coast sees it before us folks on the East coast. So unless you have it taped and haven't seen it, everyone should've see it by now....

WARNING: IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THIS WEEKS EPISODE DO NOT READ THE REST. SPOILER FOR YOU....

That should do it.

I'll try to give a quick re-cap. I may get the sequencing wrong... Anyone that wants to correct time frames and/or fill in any gaps, feel free....

The tribes went to see a viewing of snippets of "Love tapes", i.e.- people from their lives that care about them sending messages. Then they were told the person that wins a challenge round gets to see their whole tape and have a nice tall drink. Oh and they merged officially.

There was a challenge round where they were paired randomly and were instructed to move a bark ball (or something like it) through a maze. The game went on until there were just two players. Brian won. He got to see his tape. His wife did a "dance" and took a little tour of the house and garage. Helen observed Brian was doing very well (baby grand and a new car or two in the garage....She said he didn't need the money. So that may go somewhere in the future.

Helen continued w/ her recipies. It was getting to Ted. He went for some time alone. He recognized it was a risk. Some of the tribe went a little nuts as to where he went (Penny) and Clay said several times, "...he has an attitude" (Bad Clay --- I thought that was unfair. If Ted had told him why he left for awhile, Clay probably would've wanted to join him! Clay wasn't too keen on the recipes either in a prior episode.)

Clay and Jake had an agreement to vote Ted off. Brian & Clay talked about voting Ted off. Jake, Ken & Penny talked about voting Ted and then Brian off.

Individual Immunity challenge: Some sort of numbers game. The whole tribe had 30 seconds to memorize what Thai numbers are the equivalent to our everyday numbers. It went quick. Clay and Ken won. Then they had to use the Thai numbers and East, West, North, & South symbols to go through all of these crazy mounds to find a Thai number card for each number. Clay won immunity.

There was a little more talk about who was voting who off. Not much.

It ended up that 5 votes were for Ken and 3 votes were for Ted alonge original tribal lines.

The previews showed Ted was upset that he had 3 votes. And it showed Clay talking to Brian stating that Ted didn't know "they" instigated Ted's votes. (Brian didn't appear to be part of it at all to me.)

Ted did say before the voting, that seeing the tape of his newborn and not being able to hold her really got to him and he needed some time alone.

I think that's about it. Whew. Long post.

FairyGF - There's a warning prior to opening thread that there are spoilers in here. Most everyone is aware of that and people like chellnjr come looking for info all the time.

Here's some of the dirt: I was right in that Brian's video (the only one shown in full length cause he won reward immunity) revealed that he has several expensive cars in the garage and a baby grand in the living room. Not to mention a gorgeous wife and child. You could see he was sweating cuz he felt video gave away too much of his home life. Helen did state to camera, that if she was not friends with Brian, this would be a reason to vote him off: "The guy does not need the money". (Hey, he could be up to his eyeballs in debt, how does she know?)

Immunity challenge was an obstacle course run by randomly chosen pairs. Two teams per heat: Jake/Jan, versus Clay/Ken (winners) Penny/Ted versus Brian/Helen (winners and then Clay/Ken versus Brian/Helen. Brian and Helen won and then they had to compete with each other by building a pyramid. Brian won.

In previewing this post, I see annemarie beat me with a quite intense and detailed report. (Boy are you fast. But then I had some computer logging on problems) Let me read hers and see if I can add more to it rather than repeating same stuff over.

Tulirose, you were right. I thought of you!

I was kinda surprised at the quickness to turn on poor Ted by his own tribe! It's getting kinda down and dirty now. And after all that talk of Ted and then Brian and the deal making --- I didn't know which way it would go...

Clay talking with Jake about voting off Ted was just that - Talk. Clay is not going to vote against his old tribe mates - not just yet. Same thing when Jake spoke with Clay a second time and said if Clay can get one of the ladies and vote for Brian, that would be a good plan. I felt so bad for Jake. Couldn't he see, Clay was just stringing him along?

All along Ken had a BIG red X on that gorgeous forehead of his. Too bad he didn't have the brains to to the search and hunt thingie. I can't believe Clay beat him. I can't stand Clay!

d.kurtz - I checked prior to showtime. Not only do you have Robb but you also still have Shii Ann!!

Some of them may hold it against Brian because he has a baby grand and expensive cars, but he is a used car salesman. He knows where to get the deals and I bet he did not pay a lot for them.

Jake knows now that Clay is not his inside track to old CG.

I was surprised to see how flabby Ken has gotten compared to the other men. He has definately lost a lot of muscle tone. Did anyone else notice that short clip?

I figured Ken was gone but the way this year's show has gone, I wouldn't have been surprised if the old CG had voted for Ted also.

Oh! One more thing (I know, I'm being such a thread hog tonight) .....

During the emotional video clips of each family, teenson (knowing exactly what we were watching and just wanting to tease) stood RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE T.V., innocently asking "Watcha watching?" !!!!

I don't yell too often, but boy did I scream at him then!!! I think he will think twice about EVER pulling that trick again.

(The one show I wanna watch all week and I can't even have an hour to enjoy it! Why does Thursday night have to be his night off from work?!)

I was really getting into the emotions of it too! Even Helen cried - who on an earlier episode said she can't cry cuz the guys she works with will tease her forever about it.

The other men (well, except for Clay, of course - can you tell I don't like Clay?) came INTO the game in great muscular shape. Ted came in BIG -- period. Just BIG! He was not in good physical shape, just a BIG guy, no real muscles. (I think I'm starting to repeat myself. It may be time for me to go.)

Now, that Jake -- He is in GREAT shape for a guy his age. (Can you tell I like Jake?)

And actually, thinking back now to Clay's audition tape, I gotta give him some credit. He was (IMO) more physically fit than Ted.

One thing that Helen, and anyone else that questions the expensive cars, may not realize is that since Brian is a used car salesman they might be demos. I used to have a co-worker whose husband was in the business. The dealership he worked for dealt exclusively with late model foreign luxury and sports cars. She used to drive demos to work all the time. A BWM one week, Mercedes the next, maybe a Porsche now and then for variety.

Like someone else said in an earlier post (sorry, it's almost bedtime. too tired to go looking for it), they may have a lot of STUFF, but not a lot of cash. I'd hate to see him voted off because of an assumption like that.

He has also acted in soft-porn movies and that could have funded some of his "toys" There are clips and photos of his movies on several web pages....not that I would dream of looking!

:smooth:

UH...no! The West Coast sees it 3 hours after the East Coast. Even the "live" shows are taped delayed for us :(

That is what I said.

I loved the "I know I am sexy" thing. Too funny.

Does anyone know "for sure" when the finale is?? I am guessing it is Dec 19th, the night we were scheduled to see the Candlelight Processional. I may have to rework things...but then again, I will miss the 12th and maybe the 5th so....

In past shows they haven't let the whole tribe watch the winner's video with him/her, right? Interesting that they would with this one.

Brian definitely seemed to be cringing during the tape. Everyone else would have been crying, but he seemed embarrassed.
