~ SURVIVOR Samoa ~ Season 19 ~

Somewhat related, I won the lottery last week!

True, I only had one of the six numbers, but I can prove by facts and figures that all six of my numbers were the ‘best’ numbers and are far superior to the numbers actually called. The fact (or 'opinion') that the lottery wheel did not select all six of my numbers is meaningless: I hereby declare my six numbers to be the winners. Fantasy and wishful thinking, after all, trumps reality.

Just acknowledge the fact that Russ should have won the game.

No, Russ could have won the game, but he was too arrogant and stuck on his "strategy" to see that the jury members THIS season were the type to be bitter and hold a grudge. It's a shame he wasn't able to recognize that. If he had, he may be a million dollars richer at this point.

There isn't a rule that says the jury has to vote based on "game play." They get to vote based on whatever reason they want, it's their perogative. That's the benefit of being on the jury -- if you want to be bitter and vindictive, you get to be just that!

I agree. One winner I liked was the fireman, Tom W. He played a very honorable game.

I loved Tom. He played a great physical game. I was also a big fan of Terry who did an awesome job as well but lost the last immunity which cost him the game.

Terry was cool but very condescending to the guy who won.. I forgot his name.

Wasn't the guy who won the yoga guy? The last challenge - balancing on wooden "lily pads" in water was tailored for him... Terry never even got up to start the challenge, after physically dominating every challenge in the game until then.

Funny how, even at the reunion show, the focus seemed to be on Russell - not the "winner" - Natalie. Heck, even Jeff Probst said Russell was the best player ever in the history of Survivor.

Danielle won immunity and took Aras to the final 2. She lost to Aras and when polled had she gone against Terry she would have lost to him.

OK...so where do we go from here?

Maybe the thread should be shut down, or closed. Every person has a right to their opinion and no one should agree on anyone elses opinion, just because they say so.

Copy and Paste feature is amazing :)

Russell Hantz: Sole Survivor and Winner of Survivor Samoa

Yes but with that siggy line you wouldn't even have to do that and you'll be able to show your supoport of the Russel Sole Survivor.

You might have to explain to people of course what that means since Russ wasn't the actual winner and therefore is not the Sole Survivor, and that they only way he could get that title is to make an offer to buy it (rather pathetically I might add) from the winner and Sole Survivor, Natalie ;)

OK-I just need to jump in and ask a question for the Natalie supporters: Mick played the same game as Natalie (riding along on Russell's coattails), and he actually WON a competition (Natalie never won anything), and came very close to winning quite a few. Why didn't he deserve to win over Natalie? Most of you think Natalie deserved to win, but considering she never won a competition I would say Mick was more deserving than her. I was really shocked that Mick didn't get one vote.

Personally I think Russell was robbed. Usually the juries look past most of the personal stuff and try to vote for the best player (Evil Dick winning BB is the best example of that, even though I HATED him!). I am still shocked.

Great Question!

Yes I alluded to this earlier. The reason is that Natalie had an angel face and a sweet southern charm about her. They liked her, especially the 3 headed monster (Laura, Kelly, Monica).

I don't think that anyone can count on that, you aren't guaranteed a win just because you (think you) played a better game than someone else. Unfortunately Russell counted on the jury voting for the way he played, not for the way he was and it bit him in the rear.

As far as Mick, I'm actually surprised that he didn't get more support from the jury. I think maybe he stayed under the radar so much that they didn't feel he did enough OR that he made any attempt to get to know them at the merge. Brett's question made me think that.
Natalie was more social with them so they got to know here better.
