~ SURVIVOR Samoa ~ Season 19 ~

I can't believe how many like Russell, to me he make Johnny Fairplay look like a saint.

I am rooting for him now as he has brought a whole new element of "play" into the game and it is fun to watch! If he leaves, it could be boring. I could not stand him the first episode or 2, but quickly realized he is entertaining! I am for Foa Foa! I can't stand Laura.

Next weeks previews look hilarious!:happytv:

They always put it back in, until they get to the final 4 I think.

Why is he so much worse than Johnny Fairplay? He lied about being in Hurricane Katrina and I think everyone agrees that they didn't like that, but other than that he's just a smart, strategic player. Oh ya, he also dumped out their water and burned their socks! That was in the very beginning though. Since then I think he has been playing a great game and I really don't think he's evil.

I don't think you have to be a jerk or lie to win the game. There have been several nice people who have won.

Loved it!

I have come to appreciate him.

Okay, I just came around. I absolutely am loving Russell now and Survivor has just come alive. The looks on everyone's faces was priceless.

I am loving Russell now also. He is really playing the game and it seems like his rude comments have settled down some.

He is so lucky. I loved the look on Laura's face she was not happy. Than said he just declared war. She better watch herself because Sham will flip on them in a heartbeat.

Am I the only one who thought this was all way too coincidental? I mean as as soon as they found the immunity idol and said lets not tell FOA FOA, I said to dh- it doesn't matter, Russel will find one. As soon as it was planned that Laura was going to be voted off I said- she'll win immunity.
Don't get me wrong, I don't believe everything is planned out, Kelly was definitely surprised to be voted off, but I have to wonder why they didn't vote off one of the stronger men on the tribe at this point in the game:confused3

I don't think things are coincidental - it's all in the way they edit the footage and decide what to show us. They film the survivors all day long; I'm sure once they see who gets voted out, those are the pertinent scenes that make it to what we see on tv. I mean, I didn't even know which one was Kelly until last night - they never showed her. Once she started getting some airtime last night, I kind of figured they'd get rid of her.

And the Galu conversation on the beach, where Monica said they should plan just in case Russell finds another immunity idol and Dave convincing them that there's no way he'd find another one....they deliberately showed that clip right before showing us Russell finding another II. It's all in the editing....

They all lie to some extent. But most people have enough of a conscience that they don't lie about "big" stuff, like somebody's grandmother dying or Katrina. I think that's why Johnny Fairplay and Russell's lies bother us so much. We've all seen them making alliances with others with absolutely no intention of sticking to the alliance.

For me, the most evil thing Russell did was dump the canteens and burn the socks. That's right up there with actually hurting someone. Whether he's done more nasty stuff like that or not, we don't know since the producers only show us what they want to.

I, too, hated Russell from the very beginning because of the water/socks issue, but I have to admit that he IS playing the game - he's finding the idols with no clues and conniving to get himself ahead. C'mon - it's season 19 of Survivor. Haven't these people been watching prior seasons to know that there is usually an idol hidden at camp somewhere? Kudos to Russell for taking the initiative to look for it, rather than wait for clues.

I started out rooting for Galu, but now I want to see Russell and Natalie in the final 2, with Natalie winning (only because of Russell and water/socks thing).

Thats exactly my point, its engineered reality. I understand they need to edit and keep their viewers, its just hard to get so excited about a particular episode knowing that we are seeing what they want us to see and not everything that *really* happened.

I can't believe how many like Russell, to me he make Johnny Fairplay look like a saint. I hope they can boot him next week. My favs are Jasion and Mick

I totally agree with this. Yes, he is a good player, but how can people "love" someone who lied about being part of the worst natural disaster in the history of the USA? My parent's lost their house and everything to Katrina. You have to be a real ****** to be able to do that.

Not to mention, he burnt Jaison's socks on the first night. The guy is a freakin' loon who is very good at strategy. I can see how you can say that you think he is keen and enjoy watching his scheming, but saying you LOVE him? I suppose those people saying that either truly don't understand how horrible Katrina was or just don't understand how to properly express themselves. Pretending that you were affected by Katrina is not a joking matter, even for a $1 million competition.

I think that the coincidental part is how on earth did Shambo and Mick do so horribly on the last part of that immunity challenge. I used to play a game as a child identical to that and it was easy. Shambo and Mick were just brainless. Also, if you taped it, look at the replay, Shambo and Mick were trying to shove things like triangles into a circle hole. I'm sorry, fatigue can make you do some stupid things, but not that stupid. I'm not saying it was set up ... I just though that was one of the weirdest challenges I have seen in terms of the sheer stupidity of two of the contestants. It wasn't like one of the hard puzzles on survivor. This was probably the easiest puzzle I have ever seen on the show, so it just didn't make sense that they could have done so badly.

All in all, this was the best episode this season. I hate Russel as a person, but I enjoy watching his scheming. Immunity will be VERY important next week! The crazy part is the the hidden immunity idol will be placed back into the game, so if the team who wins immunity can find the hidden immunity idol, that will be HUGE.

I always enjoy how the game becomes so much more complex post-merge. I still don't have a favorite. I am just enjoying watching the scheming and manipulation.

We might have a tie breaker next week since it stands 5 a piece right now (since Sham flipped to Russ's team).

I was thinking the same thing. Isn't Mick an ER doc, I wouldn't want him treating me when he was on a 24 hour shift :scared1: :lmao:

I thought it was hysterical Russell found another idol, like him or not he's a great game player.

I would love to see Laura go, I'm just not a fan, she's too snooty and seems like a hypocrite to me.

I really like Natalie, I think she's playing a good game so far, I think Shambo has bought herself some time but I think in the end Russell will definitely turn on her.

I still don't love Russell. However, I have come to respect the way he is playing the game. He's a smart cookie when it comes to surviving in Survivor and I admire his wit.

Regarding Shambo, she's already flipped, but voted with her former tribe as a way for them to still believe she is just following along with them.

This season has finally picked up some steam.

While I don't believe the producers can (legally) influence what goes on during the game, I wouldn't be surprised that Russell was warned about destroying the others' property as being detrimental to the game. There may be even something in the contract's rule for we know. There clearly are rules governing things like physical attacks on other players, etc.

I'm not sure she flipped didn't they show her writting down Russel name to vote him out

Yes, Shambo wrote Russell's name down, but it was blatently obvious that she has befriended Russell. She knew how the vote was going to be played out, although acted surprised to stay under cover.

Shambo is definitely aligned with Russel. However, she can't show that to the old Galu members quite yet. Having the old Galu think they that Shambo is with them, may come in very handy next week.

Shambo's with Russell. She told him he was the only one she could trust when they were fishing together. There was no need to expose herself as a traitor as they didn't need her vote to get rid of one of Galu's players.

Natalie killing that RAT..................:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I would have run so fast if I had seen that little creature...........:scared1: AND then she kills it, they cook it and state it tastes like CHICKEN..............:scared1: I was dying watching all of that............:scared1:

KELLY
2.gif

Ok, not really sure about Shambo and her alliance with Russel.....as I recall the only ones voting for Kelly were, Russel, Jaison, Mick and Natalie! :thumbsup2

The looks on their faces at tribal were awesome, Laura looked so angry and Erik on the sidelines cheering for Russel! :lmao:

It was just awesome. I loved it! They totally got Galu.

Now, I think Dave has to go. WTH was he thinking? Everyone of Galu was saying they wouldn't be surprised if Russell found the immunity idol, yet he convinced them to stick with Russell.

I have to say that I think Dave is the person I hate the most on the show. I would love to see him get a HUGE blindside in the booty.
