Survivor: Palau...official Thread

Jenn has been able to go through the game without ever having to really save her butt. I think and would hope that the jury (if she made into the final two) would see that.

I wonder who Caryn would vote for if any of those people went to the finals? Sad thing is... we will have to listen to her when she gets on the soapbox again at the final tribal council. Ughhh.

Wow...
I thought Ian was a goner...
What was he thinking...
Thought Tom better had won immunity by the way he seemed to 'Boss' Katie & Ian around.. :earseek: ...
Jenn better win immunity...She seems to be next...

I personally do not think Ian made a mistake by taking Tom to the reward. Don't you think the women would have come up with a better plan if Ian wouldn't have taken Tom? Whichever woman he took would have been considered a shoo-in for 3rd, and then dumped. If he took Katie, then Caryn would have been mad, if he took caryn, then Katie would have been mad.

That being said, I think that the women made a mistake not going after Ian tonight. But it was smart of Jenn to vote Caryn when she knew the others were since it somewhat takes a target off of her back for next week.

I think Jenn and Katie are playing the game much harder than anyone realizes and I wouldn't be surprised if one of the guys goes next.

I think the next immunity will totally depend on who wins immunity. If Tom wins, I believe Jenn will be out. If anyone else wins, I think Tom's a goner. But, I guess this depends on how things are handled based on the reactions to Caryns unveiling at tribal.

Just remember, the scenes we are seeing aren't necessarily the "whole truth". Sometimes I wish it was more like Big Brother so that we could know everything that was going on, and not be limited to only knowing what the editors show us.

Who do you hope is going to win?

At this point, I don't really know who I want to win. I think you're right about Tom since he's been the "strong arm" of the tribe lately and strongly suggesting what they should do. Caryn completely lost it last night. I thought she would play it cool and stick with Tom and Ian but I guess not. :rotfl:

I don't want Katie or Jenn to win so I guess I'll have to go with Tom...for now. :rolleyes1

Tom or Ian

One thing I noticed last night when Ian chose Tom to go with him on the reward, Tom "acted" happy but it was so obvious it was an act and he was probably thinking "no, you fool!!!"

I think they voted out the right person last night. They could not continue to have the Caryn/Katie animosity in the camp, wondering which one was going to flip out next. It was like a three-some. Tom promised to go to the prom with me! No he didn't! He promised to go with me! I think voting out Caryn went a long way to soothing Katie's fears and hurt feelings. Also, it would be easy to talk Jenn into voting for Caryn by falling back on the original alliance. I was surprised to see that all of them voted for Caryn, though. I thought the vote would have been closer.

As for the reward challenge ... stupid, stupid, stupid! They almost lost it right there and you could tell that Tom and Ian were really worried.

I want Jenn out next and then Katie. I would like Tom to win, but Ian would be OK too.

IMHO this is the stupidest bunch of 8, 6, even 4 Survivors left. I get so mad that nobody has the guts to vote the strongest players out..... I know they deserve to be there and deserve to win the money...I just think the others aren't outwitting enough to win the game for themselves..... :rolleyes2 And the Caryn crying the angry blues last night at her confessional....uuuggghhh!!!! IF you had been smart and formed the all girl alliance when Steph wanted you to (instead of running to Tom & telling him about it), you'd still be there, dummy!! But, I am enjoying this season and I'm looking forward to the finale!

ITA on everything you said. Weird. It's like I typed it through your fingers.

We didn't think Tom acted very happy about Ian's choice.....he wasn't smiling when they drove away in the car!

I really hope it comes down to Tom and Ian too. That would make for a very interesting final TC. It seems the last few winning votes have been pretty one-sided and Tom & Ian would make for a closer race.

I also hope it is Tom or Ian in the final 2. I don't think Tom looked happy at all when Ian picked him for the reward. I agree, Tom was thinking what a fool he was to do that. I'm afraid if Jen gets immunity, she may end up in the final 2, I hope not!

Nothing to do with Survivor-

Thanks. They are quite a handful.........

Forgot to mention that I thought tribal council was one of the best ever last night. I think too often that the contestants forget about the jury. I know the jury isn't allowed to talk to each other and I have a feeling Caryn knew there was a good chance she was going so she laid it all out there. Pretty good move on her part. At least now, the jury knows what went down at camp. Coby and Steph's faces were too funny.....

I always thought the jury hung out together once they were voted off; you mean they keep each jury member separate from the others? :confused3

I got the genreal idea of what happened last night; but if someone would be so kind and post a good recap, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I've been rooting for Tom ever since the beginning. But if he's going to win he must get the immunities. If I were out there I would have voted him off the first chance I got. He is WAY too strong of an opponent.

I'm happy for Ian that he won the car since he's never owned a vehicle before. He seemed truly appreciative. :sunny:

What was Ian thinking??? Why did he take Tom when they'd already discussed that it wouldn't be good to leave the three women alone together? If he had just taken Katie none of the "drama" tonight would have happened.

Hey...I just came to see if there was a Survivor thread going! :) I think Ian picked Tom, hoping that he'd win the immunity challenge again and the girls would vote Tom off. I don't trust Ian, he's too wishy washy. I'm surprised Katie voted for Caryn, though.

Tom's a neighbor...so we're rooting BIG time for him!! He won't give us any info though, other than a little tid bit about a challenge or something like that. The finale is this Sunday, and it's in NYC, but we haven't seen him around since Tuesday afternoon -- he got on the school bus and got the kidss all hyped up about the show and finale. We'll see!! I think he certainly deserves to win.

That's very cool having Tom for a neighbor! I'd be happy if he won too!

I was just wondering when Ian was out talking to Katie, why didn't Tom try to get Caryn and Jenn to vote with him to take Katie out? Why does everyone want to keep Katie around?

Janice

Did anyone else notice how incredibly whiney Ian was last night? I couldn't help but notice it. First he actually cried in the blowout with Katie, and then offered to "step out", and then, when Caryn was going off at tribal council, he made some whining noises then too. I don't know, he bugged me last night.

Also, for some very strange reason, I was rooting for Jenn to win that immunity challenge. What is up with THAT? :confused3 LOL!

I don't get the whole Katie thing AT ALL. In the beginning noone could stand her...now everyone is kissing her butt!!!!

I lost all respect for Ian offering to opt out to save his "butt" with Katie--WHAT!! Did you come to play a game or not..and Like I said before...good grief, how many reward challenges does Katie get to tag along on and when she doesn't get to go on one...WOW, she flips. I am so over this bunch--the woman especially OMG...both of them are and have been USELESS I think. I am rooting for Tom, he is the only one who I can say now truely deserves to win--and as a poster said earlier...they didn't take either Tom or Ian out when they had a chance that makes them pretty darn dumb!! Final 4 IMO...there are no alliences now--let the winner take all!
