Well, I'm sure it was random. But, they had the two stronger men with the two weaker women. The other team did have Steph. I think they just didn't work as well together.

I would have liked to have seen how they chose though. I think they first should have taken Greg and Tom and put them on different teams and went from there.JMHO

Say what you want about Janu--she made her mark in this game and it was HUGE!! I wonder if she knows the kind of impact she just had.

I suspect that she knew. She might have thought about it while she was on the island by herself. I think that she really wanted to go to... she wasn't getting along with anyone really and her face so lit up when Coby walked in.

As for Stephenie... I'm not sure how I feel about her after tonight. Her crying made me think that she really wanted to stay in the game but then that huge grin on her face after Janu announced she was giving up... hmm... makes me think those were crocodile tears.

I wonder if the all-girl alliance (from the previews for next week) will work. What do you guys think of Jen? Do you think she'll side with the girls or stick with Gregg?

I'm not sure if Steph can be the sole survivor BUT I do hope that they have another popularity contest (like the one Rupert won) so that the public can vote for their favorite survivor. I think she'd be one of the top vote getters and possibly win a million bucks like my other favorite survivor, Rupert!!

O.K, I'm really stupid! I messed up my programing tonight and survivor did NOT get taped! I am so mad at my self I could just kick myself in the bee-hind! (But I got to see a really boaring, really bad movie! At least I didn't have to pay to see it! )

SO WHAT HAPPENED! It looked like it was going to be a REALLY GOOD show tonight. And from what I have read so far it look's like it was! Please help me! I did get to see the previews for next weeks show, so I know that Steph has a target on her head. (I thought she was in an aliance with Tom, Ian and Kathy? ) And I do know that Janu quite the game. And from her final words it sounds like she thinks she messed up some ones plains. HELP MEEE! PLEASE!

I'm going to check out the site and see what they have there, but never really get the full story.

Also, if you could help me with the bonus questions on the Fantasy team, that would be great.

What a great show tonight! I didn't catch the previews for next week...guess I will have to rewind the tape and check those out. I hope that Tom, Ian, and Steph make it to the final 3. I agree that Tom is making himself a bigger target by winning the immunity challenges they have had so far, but maybe he already feels threatend. The tables always change in Survivor so I'm interested to see what does happen next week.

What happened to the final four? Why on earth were they letting Greg call the shots? It said something about the final four "expanding to six" - that's not the way it works. If they had any brains they would have voted Greg out since he's the last threat that wasn't part of their initial final four pact. They already had the power to tie, all they would have had to do is approach Janu or Caryn and talk them into voting Greg.

That said, I'm happy Janu is gone. She wasn't adding to the game, only detracting. I am glad she got to go on a good note. She worked really hard during the reward challenge and also on the deserted island. She can leave feeling good about that and also the impact she made on the rest of the game - much more impact than she could have had staying.

I'm so glad that Steph survived tonight! I really like her and think that she's had a very hard time.

I think that her tears were genuine and that she smiled when Janu gave up because she was so relieved. She is really into the game.

My guess is that Janu's quitting just delayed the inevitable and I bet that Stephenie is gone next week unless she wins the IC.

One of the best episodes!!

Synapsis, reward split the remaining survivors into two teams. Each team has to move many (at least 6 maybe more) peices of a scaffold type tower, onto the base set out off the shoreline and in the water. Each piece is roughly 30 pounds and the challenge isn't easy, even assembling it, as each piece needs to be lined up before it will fit together. Teams are Tom, Greg, Janu and Caryn, ..and Ian, Stephanie, Katie and Jenn. Pretty evn at first, Ian's team works together, while Caryn and Janu rest on the float at the beginning set up of the tower leaving Tom and Greg to dive and aline the base. Ian's team falls slightly behind in getting back to the beach for the next piece. Once their all back into the sea, team Ian works together, while Caryn and Janu watch Tom and Greg. WHen Tom and Greg seem to lose the teeny headstart, Janu joins them. Team Tom holds the tiny lead. Repeat, repeat, Gregg climbs inside the structure to aline and set the upper portions. FInal peice, team Tom has a small lead, Greg again climbs the interior, and Janu climbs outside once it's complete to retrieve the flag and swim for shore. Apparently the didn't film the handoff, because Greg actually had it in his hands when they reached the beach. Team Tom wins reward.

Reward, yes very Survivor. Palau native feast. Most touching, Janu ate too much/too fast/was too ill for a feast and vomited while a native girl comforted her.

They snuck food back to the other four in great style, then Janu and Caryn sampled the deseert that was a gift brought back. (Small coments made about it by Steph, Jenn or Katie, I forget who.)


Individula challenge. a HARD test of will, fear, and inner strength. Monkey bars are set up far enough from shore to be affected by the tide. They must remain under the bars until only one is there. The tides are coming in. New twist, first to "quit" will spend the night alone on another island with minimal supplies, like flint, a machete, water and fish hooks.

As they all take their places, spirits are high. Ian cracks a joke and Katie follows. More banter comes out, probably to kill their own internal dialogues. Janu starts to lose it and complains of the coldness of the water they're all submerged in from the neck down. Janu talks herself into quitting and does. Jeff tries to understand why she quit so soon and asks some questions, like has Janu ever made a fire on her own...Katie (I think) makes a small joke about it and Jeff queries why jokes are being made while "he's asking a serious question."

One by one, as the tide rises, Survivors drop out. Jenn, Caryn, Katie, Greg, Stephanie and finally Ian after a couple of battles, leaving Tom with immunity again. ( My order may not be exact, but I think I'm close.)

Janu is whisked off onto her own island. She decides a fire is the most important thing she needs. She struggles, complains, reflects and after a nice edit job, she makes fire. Apparently it took her close to three hours to do it. She dances on the shoreline to celebrate.

Back at Koror, Greg tells Ian and Tom that Jenn thinks Stephanie is too much competiton and lays out many reasons to vote Stephanie out before Janu (who's made it plain, wants to go). Tom gripes about it, but apparently will go along. Steph gets a bit paranoid and is "sure it's her". Even asks around the campfire and gets more freaked out when no one will talk to her.

Janu returns. Others ask "How was it?" and look frankly stunned when she replies. "Great." She needed some time alone and was honest about enjoying it, to the puzzlement of the team.

Jeff asking very pointed questions, like to Janu, why should she stay and Steph be voted out, Janu, "she shouldn't. no reason. I'd vote me out"
Lots of questions like this. When Steph is questioned, she breaks into tears, clearly hurt and wanting to stay. Tom says he'd be proud to have Steph on his team as a firefighter (related to the question from Jeff) but this was not that. Greg says something along the lines of "If Janu wanted to leave that badly, she could lay down her torch. The way it is, we have to play this strategically."

You could almost see a lightbulb go on over Janu's head. She asked if she could quit. She mulled it over, then said she'd rather go and let Steph remian. Steph objected that she would NOT be a reason for Janu to quit. Janu amended her statement, she wanted to take herself out of the game and laid down her torch.

I think Steph is the best player I have ever seen. Rupert would be number two I am so hoping she stays in for the long haul, she has definitely earned it. Janu was just baggage for the team, good riddance. But she did go in style, I admire her for that. If Steph goes next week I will be really turned off by the series. Like they said, what happened to the final four? The heck with the love birds! Boot them off

That was a great over view of the show! I could picture some of the stuff in my head! I am hoping that they will have some good video on the site, for stuff you missed. Or don't remember 100%. Man after that, I really do whant to kick myself in the bee-hind! It sounded like one of the best so far.

Man I hope that Ian can talk some sense into Tom, and either Greg or Jenn will be the next to go. And if Kathy really was making jokes about Janu, she really has no room to talk. She has also been sitting on her bee-hind for the past few weeks. Maybe with the words that Janu said when she bowed out of the game that means that Janu might vote for Steph, if Steph is able to make it to the final two. Fingers Crossed!!

He might have a crush. But last I heard he was taken! He is dating that young girl from the last show, who made it to the final 4. She went on reward with the winner to the volcano. At the moment her name escapes me, I want to say Amy, but I know that is not right.

First let me say that I am thrilled that Steph is still in the game ! I am rooting for her all the way.... BUT.... I'm pretty disappointed that Jeff decided her fate, he has never been so pushy at a tribal council before and I hated how he manipulated the game

I agree...you could practically hear the producers in Jeff's ear telling him what to ask. very contrived.
