Survivor - Guatemala

What's up with the kid who couldn't cut through the rope!!! Man! He blew it!
The farm boy cut through that rope like it was butter.

I see what you mean about Stephanie being a little annoying but I like her. I just think she's frustrated since she loses almost every challenge. She does need to keep quiet though or else they will vote her off.
She's certainly easy on the eyes that's for sure. :teeth:

I lost my eye candy last night when they voted out Blake. He was annoying, but he was nice to look at. And then there were none. SIGH.

I can't believe BJ turned on Blake! We all saw them making their agreement in the woods. After they peed. Then they shook hands. Ewwwww.
I noticed that last week too. Definitely ewwwwwwwww.

This weeks standings:

Tribe Name: DIS Tribe

Rank Team Name Score
1 zurgswife 422
2 ThiaW 363
3 itsme4gb 323
4 Amy45 322
5 Quiltteddy 257
6 llyolf 238
7 dazzled35 208
8 Beth112 189

Are there questions we're supposed to be answering? I was looking for them a few days ago and all I could find were a few bonus questions. I'm trying to figure out why my score is so low.

Wow, he really was annoying. Not the sharpest pencil in the box either. :teeth:

I wasn't sorry to see Blake go, either, but I find Brian annoying also, so by the time they voted, I didn't care which one left.

As I see the Dani/Gary thing--she thinks she knows who he is. He denies it. From her perspective, she has no way to verify/back up her position--in teh real world, she could check records or something, but she's relying on memory, and it's not like he was a player with the fame of, say, Dan Marino or Joe Namath. So, she's better off keeping her suspicions to herself, or just passing it off as coincidence and letting it drop. Besides, Gary seems liek anice guy and a strong player--Dani is such an athlete, I would think those traits would be more valuable to her in the game than being "right" (or not) about his prior career.

Had to crack up at Lydia doing the "pancake" last night. She was such a hoot! Because of her, I was glad their team won last night. She's received a bunch of votes, and while I understand that, within the context of the game, I think she has a lot to offer--just not brute strength.

No they dont have bonus questions like that this time but you can assign your team extra points in another section.
On the page where you team is you will see this at the bottom:

"To improve your score, assign Bonus Points categories. Click here"

When you click it each of your 4 members will be listed there and there are options to pick as to what that survivor might do, such as First Interview, Climb Ruins, etc.
Assign each member of your team one of those and if they do it you get extra points.

Random observations:

1- Lydia changed the game by changing the attitude of her tribe. Kudos to her; may she live long and prosper in this game

2- I used to adore Stephanie. Now... not so much. Her crybaby act is excruciating to hear.

3- Note to Blake: Dude, when the women in camp are calling you "golden boy", it aint a good thing. It means they think you are laying around on your rear end all day acting like the world owes you something. Not too many chicks dig that.

4- Gary is playing a smart all-round game.

I completely agree with everthing you said. Steph is just acting like such a baby. I really like Gary and Lydia as well.

Is anyone else a little creeped out by Brandon? Something about him just makes me :scared:

OK, I did that. So I just suck, huh? :rotfl:

Re: Blake - Time to go, "Golden Boy!" - if you remember, in previous Survivors, hanging on to a person just because of athleticism has sometimes been counterproductive to long-term survival, especially for some alliances. Yes, being strong and fast helps, but having a whole lot of other people who are also strong and fast (and clever), can come back to bite you at a later time.

I think they're going into what Jeff was calling the "social" aspects of the game now: he's been hinting for some time now that they need to not just consider who's most athletic, the tribes need people who can think once the challenges start getting mental.

I set the VCR last eve for the WRONG channel. ARRGG! Anyway, I went to Cbs.com and read their summary of last night's episode. It was terrible. Things were explained out of sequence - ie. a tribe had drinks and a pool and then later it was explained there was a reward challenge. I'm wondering what happened. :confused3 I remember in seasons past the summaries were excellent - I mean almost as good as watching the episode. Just wondering if anyone else had noticed this??!!

Thanks!

Just get rid of Stephanie! She is so annoying

I did much better last season. I cant really get into this time and Im having a hard time picking players that are doing decent I guess :confused3
Also last season you see what each Survivor had been scoring so you could also pick a better one that way. I dont see it this season.

I forgot about the Pancake Dance !!!
I thought that was SO CUTE! Totally something my fiance and I would have been doing if we were out there :rotfl:

Well, I don't have a problem with Steph. All that she is saying about the tribe, she is saying to the camera, for us, not to the tribe. (Has it gone on a little more than it should, yes. But she needs a place to vent.) She is cheering them on at every challange. And keeping her true thoughts about her tribe to herself.

When she rolled her eyes, it was because Jeff, was not listining to everyone screaming at him to chop at the rope. He was still trying to slice it! I know that it would have made me mad as well. And she was congradulating her other team mates when they were doing well in the ball catch challange as well. All in all she is working well with her tribe, but I can understand where she is coming from when she gets upset. She was hoping that things would not be like they were in Palu, she was hoping that she would win more than lose, and that has not happened. She was hopin' for the game that Bobby John is getting, and it ain't happening at the moment. And the switch of the tribe members did not really help. But I think next week's show, we will see a different Steph, they have won, and the tribe is starting to work better together. They spirits are lifted, so things just might change.

And I don't have a problem with Brian either. I love how he has been able to change things, he has been able to save not only himself, but others as well. I wouldn't be suprised to see him in the final four.

I am glad that Blake is gone. It was funny last night as Brian would help him dig his grave, and ask him about some "dunk story," (and he had one!) and he just so into telling this story that he dosen't see that no one really wanted to hear it. And I don't care for Danni either, but i'm sure she will be around for a little while longer, because I have a felling that Ami will be leaving next.

Okay, I really liked Steph last season, but she is totally obnoxious this year. I can't figure out who grates on me the worst: Steph, Judd, Brian or Brandon.

Yes, Yes Yes! I knew I would find someone that feels the same way I do.

Last season, I was all for Steph, now get rid of her. She's the "bad luck" that she is complaining about. Oh yeah, as if being eligible to win a million bucks twice is bad luck - plllllllllllease Steph - go away.

But before Steph, I want Jamie to go away. I can't wait for Bobby Jon to knock that obnoxious, highly critical, short tempered, chilted chin of Jamie's.
Jamie has a lot of nerve telling people that they annoy him. He is just a self-righteous bore.

Judd and Steph are not smart enough to think smartly. Judd has made too many enemies to make it past the merge, so I'm not worried about him.

I also hope Margaret (and the Zookeeper) get to "kick his @$$" in a challange. He needs to go home and cry to his wife and baby.

Okay, I'm done :earboy2:

I think Stephanie will be leaving soon if she doesn't shut her mouth. She's going to bring her team down. She's constantly criticizing them.

She said she doesn't do that around the team...all that whining is just for us at home.

The one or two things she said during the reward challenge..would have been benign without all the other stuff she says in her interviews. And they won the challenge...so it worked. (unless due to editing we missed the part where one of the others said "bite me steph" :rotfl2: ).

That's called "lying or in survivor - playing the game." Doesn't anyone remember at the end of the challange (dumb boy) Jamie wanted to go to the next part of the reward challenge and Steph said, in her most annoyed voice "Jamie, the game is over." and rolled her eyes????

Then she told the camera (which by the way, she should know by now that it is public viewing), that she thought Jamie was cocky.
