Should they make another Survivor after this one is finnished?
I for one do not care much for the show and if they never make another one I wouldn't be heartbroken. I think they are trying to live off the success of the first ever show and it is failing miserably. After what has happend inthe past show I think they should really think twice about making another one.

I would keep watching. I say I'm done every season, and every time, I get sucked right back in. I'm personally really enjoying the All Stars group, although I know some others aren't.

I only watched this one for Colby and Ethan, but now that they are gone, am not watching it anymore. I think it is getting tired, and I am getting really sick of them not learning from the previous one. I mean, after all of these versions, there isn't too much that can be different.

I think it would be more fun to watch if they would up the prize money. The show makes a mint, yet they still are offering the same measly million??

Ok so do you think Sue will sue CBS and Richard for what happened? I personally don't thik she should be able to as she had many options on which way to go and she chose to stand and wait for that platform. I personally didn't see anything discusting well other than Richard in the nude but we had to see that every episode. I don't get a choice in my house my wife and oldest daughter are Survivor junkies.

Can she sue Richard, given that it happened in Panama? I suppose CBS could be sued, although I would bet a lot of money that CBS has enough waivers and disclaimers in place that they have nothing to worry about. Anyway, I heard that she said she's over it and there's no hard feelings.

I don't think she wanted to be there in the first place, to be honest with you. Before the show started, she said she was only doing it for the money. I don't think her head was in the game; she just seemed to be phoning it in.

Apparently the contestants are convinced that this time the prize will be more than a million. The first contestant voted off usually gets $5000, but this time Tina got $25,000.

But there's no shortage of people trying to get picked to be on the show. And I don't think it would be any more or less fun to watch, regardless of the amount.

Really? I didn't know that! I watch Survivor, but I don't know all of the ins and outs.

I'll keep watching it as long as Mark Burnet learns from his previous shows. The first survivor was great because all he had to base it on was his Eco-challenge shows. The camera people had no idea what was coming. The second one was pretty good too. The third one sucked because it became clear that they were actually trying to cast the most popular people from the first and second shows. Ditto for show four...then Mr. Burnett learned from that and started to change things.

The only problem I have with all-stars is that they should have left the millionaires out of it to begin with. I mean if they had to bring them back then wait until you had 16 millionaires or millionaires and first runner ups to work with. That was just low hanging fruit for elimination.

Why should this show be any different than other shows? They've kept Frazier and Friends on WAY longer than they should have and with all of the versions of Law & Order, I can't watch a single one anymore.

Survivor is much more interesting than any of these shows and is still getting good ratings, so why not keep it on?

Thanks for the replies I personally do not care for hte show but as I stated my wide and oldest daughter take over the big screen when it comes to Thursday night tv so I do not get a choice. I usually just play on the computer.

I'm not a big fan of this season. The All-Star thing is just not working out, IMHO, maybe because everyone knows everyone else. Or maybe because they aren't as shocked at being dumped in the middle of nowhere, since they've all been through it before.

But I don't think the show jumped the shark or anything. Last season was good, and the season before was, too. All that Burnett can do is cast it to the best of his ability, and hope things work out. Some times it doesn't.

BTW - Every Thursday, my daughter and two grandaughters (6 and 10) sit down and watch Survivor. It's one of the things they do as a family, and I hope they keep the show on just for that reason.

Pearl Island was my first Survivor. I am finding this one a big yawn. But then I don't know any of the contestants except Rupert, so maybe that is why.

My husband watched Pearl Island but gave up on All Stars after one episode.

Speaking of Survivor family connections...one of the reasons I am still watching this one is that my adult kids watch it and it makes me feel connected to them. They both live several hours from me, but my daughter always calls after every episode, and we discuss the show.

I think they should have gotten rid of Amber just to piss Rob off. It might have thrown him off his game.

That's what I thought. When you play any game in fear of your opponent you give them an edge (unless its a life or death kind of fear). Voting Amber off would have undermined Rob due to anger and/or loss. He doesn't seem like a "revenge is dish best served cold" kind of guy. It may have also given the new chapera's an in with some of the new mogo mogo's if there is a merge next week. And if the new mogo mogo's are really have that tight of a bond then lthey would treat losing Amber as losing a member of their team...not a win over the opposing team.

What happened isn't surprising because the new chapera's clearly lack any clue as to what it takes to win as a team. Voting off most of your strength and intelligence? What were they thinking?

Exactly!

A friend of mine was saying she didn't under the appeal of a show where people faced the camera and bared their emotions (which is why she isn't doing very well in a mini-melodrama going on in a social club we belong to but I digress). One of the most appealing aspects is that I can call up my friends and talk about it or with The Apprentice I can call up my mother...if I could stand American Idol I could talk to a host of relatives. Its a return to TV the way it used to be when there were only 3 channels with new content on it. Everybody watched CBS, NBC and ABC and whatever was on those channels was water cooler/newspaper/school yard conversation the next day. It's a shared experience that is lacking except with regard to major league sporting events.

I agree with what some are saying.... these reality shows give us all something to talk about the next day. I think that is part of the enjoyment of watching them.

About Survivor All Stars.... my DH is a hugh Survivor fan and has watched them all, and as a family we tend to watch it together (which is nice). But he, and the rest of us are not that interested in this one for some reason. I agree with what someone said about not inviting the winners back, they were pretty much doomed to get voted off.... I would have voted them off too if I were on the island.
