Personally I think all of the reality shows are ridiculous. I have never believed that the people on Survivor are actually living like that once the camera stops rolling. I think they all go back to the cruise ship docked on the other side of the island or the resort that's just out of camera range and drink margaritas all night.

My sister lives in Burlington, VT and knows Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien from Marquesas. Kathy told her there was no manipulation, no scripts, what you saw was what happened. She also went through some therapy on her return to help her deal with all of the emotion from it and also consulted the therapist before returning. It was no day at the beach (or a cruise ship)!

I think they'll keep making Survivor as long as people keep watching. And I think people will keep watching as long as the producers keep things interesting by mixing things up and making everything unpredictable.

As for the question, "should they?" Well, why not? I think the average life span of any TV show is probably 6-7 years. After that things tend to get stale and repetitive. With different personalities, different locales, and everchanging rules, Survivor has at least 2 more full years left, maybe more.

I missed a couple of the Survivors....but am definitely in to this one. I agree....Amber should have been out, just to irritate Rob....but I can't stand Jerri, either....so it was a draw.

I missed the episode where Susan was yelling about what Richard did. What did she say? Was she voted off, or did she leave on her own?

I figure they can still keep making them as long as they're making money, people are still lined up to compete, and people are still watching. We think it's more interesting than half of what's on TV these days, but we're a pretty competitive group at this house!

Sue quit on her own I think she was saying something about being mentally distraut over the whole sick situation I am not 100% sure but it was funny to listen to from the computer room while they were watcing it I do know there was alot of beeps thrown in.

Susan was in a competition where she had to pass by Richard (nude of course) on a log, so they had to basically brush eachother as they passed. Susan freaked out, and voluntarily left the show becuase she felt "violated." Nobody else reall ysaw anything that bad, other than the brush up agianst Richard (which may have been enough for ME to quit also)

Anyhow....as long as Amber is on I'll keep watching!

Oh yeah...another thing. I'm still amazed by the lack of strategy most players have. Why do certain tribes vote off the stronger men early? They're left with women that lose all the challenges and they quickly lose 3 or 4 members.

Others get into alliances with the wrong people. Look at what will happen on this one... When they combine Rob and Amber will find some suckers to go along with them. Why would anyone go to the final 3 with those two when you know you'll be the odd one out?

I completely agree. In fact what they are doing seems so incredibly stupid to me, that I wonder if they have a strategy I just have not forseen. I hope so.

Ok I just asked my wife what actually happened and this was the response I recieved. Sue had 3 planks to choose from to travel down to get to wherever she had to go. She chose to stand and wait for the one Richard was using and they rubbed up against each other nothing wild or crazy that is how it was just explained to me.

All Stars is boring me! The so-called challenges are lame and the big twists are none too exciting. We tape the show for my boys who are in bed when it is on. They love the challenges, the last few weeks there hasn't been anything for them to watch.

Should they make more? I'll keep watching. I just hope it will get better.

This season has been a bit of a disappointment but I still have the bug and haven't given up on it yet. I really was looking forward to this one but I think I miss trying to figure out all of the different personalities. Plus, I really miss having a real scoundrel around! As much as I couldn't stand Johnny Fairplay, I looked forward to his antics every week! Those casting folks need to find some more like him!

I hope the keep Survivor going for a long time. I have watched it since it's debut in summer 2000 and I just love it- it's my favorite prime time show (well, tied with the new Trading Spaces episodes). All stars has been a little slow, but I'm still enjoying it very much.

Don't take away my Survivor. And does anyone know who are the two girls on All-stars who Ethan has dated? And who was the Survivor girl not on the show who Ethan currently dates? I am too old to care, but I still do. Ethan is my favorite.

Ethan is currently dating Jenna M., the winner from the Amazon. He also dated Jenna L & I believe the other gal was Ambuh. I mean Amber.

The night of the finale last season I was talking with my kids and has told them that after the 10th seasons they needed to have a Survivors-ULTIMATE with all the past winners. I didn't even know about the ALL-Stars show yet. I think it would have been a better show watching all the past winners in competion against each other.

But I do agree if they were going to do it before they had 10 winners then they should have left out the "winners." and I am sure if they do any future ALL - Stars shows that they will.

As for not having any more, they are working on casting for Season 10 right now (at least from a commercial for winning a spot through some contest).
