Survivor All Star OFFICIAL THREAD!

I don't get the Chapera tribe AT ALL. They ALL saw Amber and Rob M. getting close- why didn't the other 4 band together and give one of them the boot! break up an obvious alliance..HELLO!And I am so bummed that Rob C. was voted off- why not Sue? They have been crabbing about her from day one- I don't get it.

So, so glad Saboga did better and are pulling together. Yay.

I love Lex and his comments about Rich. We need more words from Colby though- haven't heard much from him. He DOES have a chatty tribe though- Kathy, ShiiAnn, Rich and Lex all love to gab...they're camera hogs I guess.

Tom with the toilet on his head-LOL----and tripping down every other minute. I was laughing so hard- poor guy! He just cracks me up!

Perhaps because they remember Rob and know that he'd sell-out his girlfriend to get further in the game, if necessary. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know.

I was glad to see Rob C gone, but honestly a little surprised. I haven't been very good at predicting what was going to take place.

I thought the toliet over the head was something and couldn't stop laughing either.

I feel like I'm having a hard time getting a feel for each tribe and how they are getting along. I think maybe it is because they are having to split the time between 3 instead of 2. I am enjoying the season, just not as much as I thought I would. Hopefully as time goes on, it will get better.

I thought last night's episode was the best one yet for this season. I was soooo happy Saboga finally won an IC!! That was wonderful to see.

I, too, was surprised they didn't try to break up the Amber/Rob alliance. It seemed like a no-brainer to me.....but then, Boston Rob *has* been pulling his weight, so maybe they felt at this point in the game it wasn't a good strategic move. I'd have thought, though, that the other 4 would've had the sense to form their own alliance. Oh, well....we'll see what happens next week!

What really impressed me was after the IC, they showed a quick clip of Rupert....he was giving a Hi-5 to Kathy. :D It is nice to see that even they are on opposing teams, there is no ill will there at all. ::yes::

I really hope the cbs shows the reward challenge on the video clips in the web site. That was hysterical to watch!! :hyper:

Did anyone notice on the preview clips for next week, Rupert looks more like the Rupert from Pearl Islands?? Seemed much more sure of himself. Also, something big is coming down...since there is now 14 remaining survivors, (4 for Sabago, 5 for each of the other 2), I wonder if they will merge the tribes at the start of the show....maybe they have to build the rafts to make it to the new beach or something??:sunny:

omg.... Tom was so funny this episode! He really cracks me up! The look on his face at TC when Sue said people thinks she's a witch was hilarious!

I felt so bad for Rupert when the shelter flooded but he was so cute when he talked about rebuilding the shelter and then when he caught the fish - he's like a big teddybear.

Was I the only one who cracked up over Lex at the IC? The way he was walking all bent over with his arms spread out in front - and then he walked out of sight. OMG he was so funny looking!!

I'm enjoying this season but for different reasons - not for getting to know the new people and trying to figure out who is strong and will win - but for watching the people that know each other interact with each other. :)

Oh, and I don't think they will vote Boston Rob out anytime soon. He's the biggest workhorse and the brains of that tribe - what a change, huh?

Yep, I agree that Boston Rob will be around for a while, but why hang on to Amber??? I WAS glad to see Rob C. go - I'm sure the others on the tribe knew how he acted on Survivor/Amazon, so when he wasn't pulling his weight it made sense to get rid of him. But Amber doesn't do much of anything - at least, they're not showing us any film of Amber working. She's "flying under the radar," and that might just be what helps her get far in the game. Do just enough work so no one thinks you're lazy, but be quiet enough so you don't pis* anybody off.

Farmer Tom is a hoot! I hope he stays for a long while to keep the show interesting. Loved his face at tribal council when Sue was talking about how much of a pain she is! LOL!

Glad to see Rupert's tribe came together and finally won immunity. I'm wondering if maybe next week they'll do one of those things where they all reach in a box and grab a new buff and mix up the tribes that way.

If anyone is interested, the cbs website does have the entire clip of the IC. :p I watched it again this morning. They also have a lot of new clips!! :sunny:

I'm so disappointed that people are not posting on this thread the night of the show. Going to bed now. Hope tomorrow I find lots more postings here.

Is it because people are posting on the Spoiler Thread or have people just lost interest or is it because it is a week night (which use to not matter) or are there other shows on after Survivor that I am just not aware of, or perhaps it is because some people really do have lives that are not Survivor-centered?

As I opened this thread this AM I was thinking that it's just not as active as it has been in previous Survivors. Maybe it IS due to the spoilers thread. I'm not goint to read that until after the season.

I was sorry to see Rob go. He's great in the enertainment department!

It's interesting how a lot of the tribe members are acting completely different this time around. Jerri is VERY low key, and is going out of her way to not start trouble, Rupert is almost timid, even Kathy is less abrasive and bossy. I wonder if this is because they are all sort of friends with each other and don't want to alienate or backstab their friends. I'm not sure I like this dynamic. I like it better when they think of everyone else as their enemy.

I can't believe nobody mentioned the all-time classic line from last night's show! When someone mentioned that Richard caught all these huge eels for them to eat and Sue Hawk yelled over that he only caught "bony" eels for their tribe last time. Richard made some comment about her deserving only bones and she said something about not ever getting a bone from him (or something like that--I wish I could remember exactly how it went because it was hilarious!).

MeanLaureen_ My four year old DS woke up imitating Lex at IC. He was just too funny blindfolded. I use to not like Lex but I'm really warming up to him this time!

I think I'm the only one in America that does not really like Rupert. Just something about him rubs me the wrong way!

I wonder what the big twist is for next week! They stated in the preveiws it was the biggest one yet and showed a shocked Shii Ann.

(Long Live Rudy!!!)

Or even funnier, I thought, is when Richard brought the eels from the water and one of the guys said something about the huge eel in the middle meaning Richard's um thingie!! hehehehe

I taped the Early Show this morning and just finished watching it. Made a lot of notes so I hope that I make sense. Rob gave a lot of information, hope that I can remember it all.

Rob was asked about his strategy. His strategy was to be under the radar this time around. Doesn't think that was the wrong way to play the game but that his reputation preceded him.

Said that Boston Rob told him that people would come up to him (BR) and tell him that Rob C. played a better game than him. So Rob C. thinks that BR had it in for him from the beginning.

Rob said that he had read books on how to read people and knew that BR was deceiving him when they shook hands. He knew that he and Amber had an alliance and probably had Tom in with them. But he didn't realize that Alicia was in the mix. This doesn't make sense about Alicia because of what he later said about Amber and Alicia.

Rob was asked if he thought Amber had anything to do with his getting voted off. He said that he thought Amber just followed BR. Amber and Alicia had a strong bond. He felt that he had a lousy draw for a tribe - no winners, no one willing to work with him even though he knew that Tom and Sue didn't get along.

When asked who did he think should have been tossed, he first mentioned Sue because she was clearly an outsider. Then he brought up Alicia because she was outspoken. He would have liked to have voted off Amber but he knew that wasn't going to happen.

Thinks that Tom is playing the best game.

A caller asked who decides who gets to sit out and he replied the tribe does. He would have been good at the IC but Tom and Sue had sat out for the RC. Alicia didn't because she had played a blindfold game before and BR didn't because he was strong and was in construction, therefore he could probably do the puzzle.

Another caller asked him about Jenna and him not hugging her. He said that he did hug her and that they are friends. In fact they talk often and he had met her mother and been to see her a couple of times. He also said that there is still a lot of animosity between other players but he didn't name who.

Rob's college thesis was on Reality TV.

The interviewer (can't remember his name) made a comment about the look on his face at TC every time Jeff read his name. He asked if Rob was mad. No, he wasn't mad just disappointed. He couldn't get mad considering he had done to others what was done to him.

It was also brought up that he was depicted as being lazy. He said that he wasn't. Like in the house building, he thought that he would be able to use the tools but was sent instead out to look for rocks and after spending eight hours looking, he was tired. A comment was made on his digging in the sand for the key but he really didn't answer that one I don't think.

On a side note, Boston Rob is still pretty cocky. When he mentioned that there were three people who could go and he would be the one to decide which one it was. That was played during the interview. I think that Boston Rob needs to be brought down a notch or two.

I had noticed when I watched the insider video, when they were casting the votes for him, most of them stated the reason for voting for him was in part due to his behavior on his last Survivor stint. So, I guess, their pasts could come back to haunt them!!! :earseek:

I didn't post because I was just too tired last night. ;)

I'm really enjoying this season. It's been fun watching old favorites and least favorites again, and it's very strange to me that I'm liking some of the people I didn't like before, and neutral to others I liked before. I can't really say there's anyone I really *despise* this time. Dunno if it's different ways they're playing the game or how they're depicted or because they're all much better than Johnny Foulplay last season. I'm even enjoying watching Boston Rob (or the Robfather as he was depicted previously) and I couldn't stand him before.

Loved the RC. I really wonder if it was just luck or if they really could see through the boxes to keep getting their guesses right. If Jeff's face was any indicator, they were getting a *lot* of correct guesses in a row there at the beginning.

And the IC? Those poor people! I cringed every time one of them got knocked over. I don't remember that many people getting knocked over the last time they did that IC, but then again it was farther in the season and fewer players if I remember correctly last time.

I'm curious how long it really took them to put the puzzles together. We know that the IC and RC can last *hours* and all we see are a few minutes of it. So I'm really curious with those puzzles. :)

I'm also finding it a very strange thing that I can't decide who I want to have lose the IC each time because there are people I really like on each tribe.

As for the beginning... I felt so sorry for all of them with their shelters at the beginning, but of course the most for Saboga (that's Rupert's tribe, right?). What was Chapera (BR's tribe) saying they'd know next time and learn from their mistakes regarding their shelter? I didn't get that.

As for next week... I don't know what they're planning, but I suspect it's more than "just" mixing the tribes up. That's become a pretty standard thing now and I don't think that would surprise the teams as much as they appeared surprised.

I was really sad to see Rob C. go. I thought he played a great game last time and deserved to win. I think RobM was definitely intimidated by him.

The IC was so funny. I can't believe how many hits Big Tom took, it sure looked like it hurt:crazy:

I know a lot of people do not like Richard Hatch, but I think he's great. He's so arrogant, it's funny. I really hope he goes a long way, but I have a feeling he won't last long once he has to go to tribal counsel.

Don't know if this is how he meant it, but during the RC, when they were making matching, Jeff had commented "How are you guys getting so many correct?" Ethan was walking past him, after just retriving an item and he answered, "Next time, make the boxes thicker".

Just a stupid thought:D on the twist:

They are bringing back "Jonny Fairplay" to replace Jenna. Not going to happen but it would sure be interesting to see how they would treat him.

No Johnny Fairplay, please! I don't know if I could handle another season of him. ;)

By the way, I read somewhere that he's been signed by some small wrestling organization. It's hard to believe that he could be a wrestler.
