Survivor All Star OFFICIAL THREAD!

I didn't read every post so sorry if this has come up already.....

There were usually 2 teams of 8 for 16 total --- correct?

This year there are 3 teams of 6 for 18 total BUT there are still ONLY 39 days. So if one person leaves every 3 days for 13 out then that has a final of 5 remaining instead of 3? I wonder that if at some point in the game an entire tribe isn't going to get kicked off??

That could explain the 'surprise' coming up?

I thought I had heard eventually, the 3 tribes would become 2....currently, each would have 7 members. I t hink if it continues to use 3 tribes, it is going to get harder to find challenges. If Saboga looses another member, how could 3 people play??

IF this is what is going to happen, who would you like to form each tribe?? Like, I think Rupert, Colby, Alicia, Kathy, Ethan, Sue and Big Tom would make one heck of a group!!
:p

Oh crap!

I rec'd my Survivor newletter on Feb 18th.

I didn't bother to put in my code (my 2nd newsletter) for the 40 bonus points - I'd do it later.

I tried to do it right after Survivor and of course it was blacked out. I tried to do it this morning but couldn't.

Then I checked the rules........you must input the code between the time you get the email with the newsletter and before the next Survivor episode starts.

Oh crap! I lost 40 bonus points!

Learn by my mistake. Put your bonus code in as soon as you get the Newsletter email!

(Not that I'm anywhere near the leaders - LOL - but the points will help my DIS Team....)

I think maybe next week there will be some sort of challenge right off the bat and the TWO losing teams have to kick someone off. Then they'll merge?

I'm still rooting for Lex at this point- he's my home town boy, I think he's a good guy and he cracks me up. I too was LOLing the way he was crouching down with his arms waving in front of him at the challenge...and then when he was in the brush and Rich says, "LEX_ WHERE ARE YOU- I CAN'T SEE YOU! COME OUT!!!" FUNNY stuff!

Liked last night's show although I wanted to see Alicia voted off. Am finding that this Survivor is different since you don't have to learn names and figure people out. There don't seem, yet, to be all kinds of alliances building up though I'm sure that that will come. A lot of focus this season seems to be on the conditions, lack of food, shelter, bugs and the weather.

Was glad that Saboga won IC finally. Felt sorry for everyone who was getting hit though during IC. That must have really hurt.

Although he's arrogant I have to say that I think that Richard Hatch is funny. I don't think that they will vote him out early because of the fishing and his humour value but I guess we'll see.

Haven't picked who I want to win this time around.

Maybe the surprise is that Rudy comes back! I miss him.

OOOHHH!!! OOOHHH!!! :bounce: The preview is up for next week's show!!!! If you don't want to know what the SHOCK is, don't watch!!!!:earseek: :faint:

I see two possibilities for handling the extra two players. Either two weeks will have to vote two survivors out each, or they'll simply get rid of all three survivors on the first team of three sent to tribal council.

Hrrrmmm....

But does "dissolved" just mean that they will be absorbed into the other two tribes? Interesting way of doing it...

My favorite quote of the evening was at TC when Jeff refered to Amber as Boston Rob's WIFE!!!!!:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I'm enjoying the entire show...I'm glad Rupert is doing better...and one a challange...

Rob C was a good choice...I'm glad past playing strategies have come back to haunt some members....:sunny:

I wasn't able to download the preview. What did I miss?

I'm surprised Chapera (I think that's them) didn't attempt to split up the Amber/Boston Rob alliance--it's SOOO obvious. Boston Rob did this first time around, too, had his little honey in his pocket so he was guarenteed 2 votes. I never much cared for Amber to begin with--Boston Rob neither, but I like him this time around. At least he's a hard worker, and their house came out looking really nice.

In the first 10 minutes, there will be a challenge will losing is NOT an option!! The losing team will be "dissolved". I think they don't want to use the term 'merge' until the 2 teams become one. The second part of the preview was a clip of what I am assuming is the immunity challenge....it's the challenge where members of opposing tribes face off on a beam which is suspended above water....looks like it becomes quite physical between Ethan and Boston Rob!! :earseek: Hmmmm...if that IS the IC....would these 2 players indicate the 2 remaining tribes??? (red and yellow?? check out the color buffs they are wearing)

I don't know if this will help those who can't watch the clips, but I noticed that once I click the video clip link, it works much smoother if you close all other windows on your task bar including the CBS.com one...the video will still play with the homepage closed. ::yes::

Very good point Always Quiet about not wanting to use the "merge" term yet... makes good sense!

That Ethan / Boston Rob dealee should be a good one!!!

PS: Remember when Clay got choked... ack!!!

Hi all... sorry for not posting the last two weeks, but except for an hour or two here and there, the internet has been out of the last ten days. The cable guy just left. turned out it was a bored out hole in the cable connection in the wall. He figured the wire was making a good connection at first but one of the cats may have bumped it out of alignment recently. He replaced it and all is well :D I'm off to finish checking ten days worth of e-mail.

Clay was choked by the most annoying survivor ever, Robb. A surfer dude from the desert. Anyway, bumping for tonights episode.:)

The only thing in the preview that really worries me is the line "You'll be SHOCKED at whose turn it is to go!" :earseek: What could really shock us??? Maybe they are bringing back some of the past cast-out members and one of them will go again.... Don't know....just as long as it's not Rupert...I'm fine with it!! :hyper:

me too. Luv Rupert!!

I don't think I'd be "shocked" if it were Rupert (not after the mess he made with the shelter challenge), so I think Rupert's safe this week.

I can't wait, is it time to go home yet? :hyper:

Maybe it's Richard who gets the boot? That would be kind of "shocking." Or maybe it's more than one person who gets ousted? I can't wait for tonight.:bounce:

Going to make sure that I have my VCR set so then I can watch it without interruptions:D .

I'm glad you mentioned setting the VCR because I need to go do that soon. I can't wait to watch it when I get home tonight.
