Survivor 32- Beauty vs Brains vs Brawn

Wonder why they didn't do a loved one's visit this season...

I commented to my husband about that last night too. Have they ever not had the loved on visit? I thought for sure we would have seen them last night.

Hmmm. I'm wondering with the MANY evacs this year whether they decided it was simply too dangerous to have the famiies there. It does seem like this particular climate was harsher than normal for them.

But the loved ones aren't really in the same harsh conditions as the players. I'm sure they are put up somewhere nice. Jeff said there was 3 Med-Vacs this year, which is the most per season. I wonder what made this place so much worse then any of the other locations. It doesn't seem to be a whole different then some other remote places. It is strange though how bad they got beat up by various issues.

That wouldn't affect the families who are there are short time and staying under very different conditions.

I would assume that they stay at the Ponderosa with the rest of the production personnel and jury.

Ponderosa video for Joe (fantastic attitude about it all and seems much more sharp):

Was really curious about that, too.

Also, Joe's issues did seem really set up. My husband has had surgery 3 times for the issues with the urethra cutting off. If it was truly because of constipation (and not a collapsed urethra), they would just get him cleaned out, catheterize him real quick, and he would be back in business. I think he was just done.

I don't think that this place is any worse than most of the places they've been. They haven't had the rain like others have had but it has been hot and humid. Wasn't it dehydration that got the first guy which I really, really hated to see leave, a wound for the second and then poor Joe, between what he ate and his prostate he didn't have a chance.

I thought that some of the tears were not over Joe being sick, but that he was leaving and throwing a giant monkey wrench into their alliance.

At this point I am not really rooting for anyone. We are just watching to see what happens. I thought with the way Michelle was talking at TC last night she was trying to push for everyone to vote Tai out. It was a dumb move for them not to- it was the prefect opportunity to, or at least try to flush the idol. I would have thought they'd want to keep Jason around since he's not likely to get votes at the end.

I really can't stand Aubrey. Ever since she had a melt down on the first or second day they were there she's just annoyed me. I really liked Cydney up until she started flipping back and forth. I liked Tai until he started doing the very thing he turned on Jason and Scott for. Michelle has been pretty consistent throughout. Joe might as well not be there. Last night was probably the most they've shown him talking and it was to be bossy and negative.

If I had to rank who to win in order of who is left it would be Michelle, Cydney, Tai, Aubrey, and Joe. Just my two cents.
My sister and my best friend both have children that have asperger's and I noticed Audrey had a few physical traits that she was displaying. She is very highly functioning and intelligent, which most are, but when she is stressed, she walks and wrings her hands fast in front of her, I saw it on last nights show, when she was stressed, waiting for Joe to finish the challenge.
Her one on one interviews, she can hardly make eye contact with the camera, even though she speaks very well. I have seen other symptoms. If she is not, I am sorry for saying anything, but I just happened to catch a few of her actions-maybe I am wrong and it is just her and stress.

Um, I'm not really sure where you're going with this and why you're quoting me like I said something horribly offensive. I was simply stating my personal opinion on the remaining cast members. I admit I don't know a ton about Asperger's besides what I learned from a friend years ago- her son was diagnosed and we have since lost contact since her family moved. In no way do I think I wrote anything offensive- I simply said I was annoyed with her since she had a melt down. I personally could never go on Survivor because I know my social skills aren't good enough to keep me from getting voted off, past injuries would prevent me from doing well in challenges, and I'd freak out of I had to eat bugs! I would be self-conscious about a camera filming me talking and following me around, and to my knowledge I have no disorder or syndrome.

My DH gets annoyed with cast members who start crying about missing people when they are only out there for a little over a month. This is because he and other military members who are deployed for much longer periods of time away from there families and friends and are certainly not getting a chance at a million dollars for it. All of us viewers have opinions about who deserves to win.

Again, I don't know why you seem to be calling me out about my opinion of someone on TV when others on this thread have been trash talking the whole season.

I thought this week's episode was just so so. Too bad about Joe but he really wasn't in the game, other than being led by the nose by Aubry.

I enjoyed seeing Joe win he reward challenge, and was sorry he had medical problems and had to leave. I always hate to see anyone leave the show that way. And I, too, thought the others were mostly sad to see him go because of what it did to their game rather than genuinely being concerned about his health. I missed having the loved ones on the show this season, that's always such an emotional episode.

I don't think Mari is calling you out. She's just "riffing" off your post and using it as a jumping point to comment that she think Aubry might be on the autism spectrum. Frankly, I can't even remember her meltdown but maybe that reminded Mari of her of behaviour of someone who has Asperger's.

I've only watched a handful of Survivor seasons, but I was never a fan of the visit from loved ones. It always felt like a wasted episode, EXCEPT when Johnny Fairplay totally schemed it! That was hilarious and well-played.

I'm not so sure Joe could not have won. The jury members sometimes take things so personally, and I recall some just give their vote to the person who didn't "do" anything to them. They may have voted for Joe, since it does not seem like he has led any blindsides or other major gameplay.

I like to see the best overall player win. Right now, based on the episodes I've seen, I like Cydney. She has been skilled in challenges and social gameplay. She is tough, and, I think, still generally respected.

Add me to those who don't enjoy the loved ones' visits. Again I find all the tears ridiculous when they haven't seen each other in what...3 weeks??

However, I must admit I do get a kick out of seeing what their spouses/partners/etc look like.

It looked like Aubry is finally catching onto her.

I like in order: Tai, Cydney, Aubry & Michelle.

I don't really have an order, just rooting for Aubry as I think she's been the biggest player. Then Tai has been the next biggest but I have trouble getting behind him for the win since he is such a needy person. Cydney and Michele have done very little IMO. They just lay low and flip to whoever benefits them most. Cyd also lets her personal feelings get in the way of her game play (whenever anyone tells her how to vote she guns for them to go...Aubry has had to skillfully get Cyd to vote her way without 'telling her' and same can be said for Aubry with Tai as he also doesn't like being dictated to, though he sure didn't mind doing the dictating).

I think Cydney has played a good, behind the scenes strategic game but she does, as you say, let her personal feeling get in the way. last night is at least the third time she saw people talking that she thought was too friendly and immediately got defensive.
