First post to this thread...

But I am finding this season to be soooo boring...

Is it wrong to actually wish for a trouble maker?

:rotfl:

No spoilers here... not sure if we are talking about Wed's episode or not... but what a dumb move...

My 11 year old says that God doesn't care about Survivor. If he can figure that out, why can't grown men?

Interesting. My own gut is telling me that Brandon is trying to "do the right thing." And if that stems from his faith in God, good for him. He may or may not be misguided. I don't believe Coach is in the same boat though. While he may believe and pray, I'm pretty sure he told Brandon ("I'll vote the way God tells me too") that as way to keep a jury vote rather than as an act of faith. You really have to listen to Coach's choice of words when he talks. He's not above lying, but did say that when he "gives his word as a Christian" he's not lying. I don't remember him using those words too often... except with Ozzy.

I went to CBS to see Edna's arrival at Ponderosa and it's not there. In fact, I couldn't find anything about Ponderosa. I'll keep looking but that's odd.

Thank you!

When they are riding in the van to Ponderosa, you usually see them eating peanut butter, chocolate, things like that. They show Edna eating a banana. She lost 14 lbs and weighed 99 at check in.

Edna was welcomed with open arms which I wouldn't expect any less. She is a god send to Cochran. They hang out together so he's not alone anymore. And it makes the group interact with him. They still don't sit with him at meals but Edna sits with him instead of the group.

Here is Dalton Ross' blog for this week.

Best line I have seen for a long time:
After Albert’s curious decision to cheer on both Brandon and Coach, Brandon wins, leading Coach to look about as angry as I’ve ever seen him look. “I believe in divine intervention. It was not Brandon’s time to go home tonight. He saved his own skin by winning immunity. I’m at peace with that. I’m pissed, but I’m at peace with that.” (Note: He does not look at peace with that.) :lmao:

Dalton also rates all of the seasons thus far in order of best to worst, in his opinion. I am not sure I agree with some of his choices, but interesting to read.

Bottom line they ALL there to play for A MILLION bucks! Plain and simple, all their praying and faith and whatever might be sincere might not I don't know, but they should know that if they want to make it to win the money they will have to make some though choices and brake their promises. Of course they would say whatever gods tells me, great choice of words, "they can blame me, I did what god told me" Please! :rolleyes1 Too bad god didn't tell me to vote themselves out, to give the hiding immunity idol, to say im going to let you win this challenge because god is telling me, how weird that god doesn't say that. :rolleyes1

I too become skeptical when someone professes he did what tha Almighty told him to do . . . And his actions coincide with his own selfish motives. I think Coach is a fake and a cheat. I don't remember him being so religious when he did his first Survivor. And I think he played on Brandon's faith to get what he wanted.

Ozzy is a bit too full of himself but I prefer his arrogance over Coach's feigned humility.

Agree. Still would be ok with Coach winning, though. He has outwitted. It's deceptive, and sort of Russell-like (despite him protesting he hates Russell, he really seems to have learned from him!), but manipulating is a part of the game. I still think it is impressive how he went from being the one everyone wanted out, to the leader of the group. I'd be ok with Ozzy winning too.

I'd like next Survivor NOT to have a couple of people returning, though. It's such an unfair advantage.

Perhaps god would be able to end famine, plagues and heal the sick if he wasn't so busy guiding the outcome of survivor, to much talk of what god wants. Take responsibility for the fact that you want the money and that is what is motivating you.

I hope the next group of survivors are a bunch of atheists! All this religion is ruining the show for me. One more prayer circle and I may just puke.

I can't decide if Brandon or Coach's faith is real.
That's between them and God.
Not sure why, but I do hope Ozzy loses. I guess I see him as full of himself.

I hope he does too. I really do not like what I see and hear of him. Have no idea what he's like IRL, but don't like him on Survivor.

I almost have to wonder if all of his winnings on Redemption Island, are just part of the show. How can any one person WIN all of those challenges, that he's won? I have to think it might be scripted that he wins everything so far on the Island.

Ummmmmmm... because he's Ozzy???

Like him or not (and I do) both fans of the show and people who have played the show regard him as one of the best, the most dangerous players to ever play the game in terms for physicality and challenges. He's strong, he has lived in the out-of-doors most of his life and is extremely physically fit and tough, he swims like a fish and climbs like a monkey, he has fantastic balance and sense-of-body, and he usually keeps his composure in challenges and doesn't get rattled. In previous seasons he was a terrible threat in immunity challenges as well.

Now, mind you, his social game usually SUCKS, just like this season.

The only "set-up", in my mind, was them bringing him back at all on a season with the Redemption Island set-up. The producers had to know that he would end up voted off fairly quickly, since he is such a threat and his social game is so stinky. However once out there on Redemption, with his ability to keep himself well-fed and rested, he would be almost unbeatable in challenges. As soon as I saw hiim go to Redemption, I knew there was almost a 100% chance he would end up in the finals - he's just that good physically and challenges are his forte.

The guy last year did it. Think his name was Matt

But he won every challenge on ri

This is my first season to watch Survivor.

DD got me hooked on it when she loaned me some of the past seasons of Survivor.

That's fine if you like him....but I don't.

I don't care if their faith is real but I am just so sick and tired of hearing about it every single episode numerous times--I am really hating this season because of all this!
I hope Ozzy he is an arrogant pig and I would love to see him go down!

That's why I don't care for him on Survivor. He comes across as extremely arrogant, IMO...and I don't care for arrogance. Self-confidence is fine, but arrogance isn't very flattering.

He may very well end up in the finals, but he won't win...he isn't popular from a social standpoint. I would think the other Survivor contestants do not like him and that's why he will not win. If he would knock down the arrogance by a notch or two, I would think he stands a better chance of winning.

Yeah...I'm right with you there.

Here's an idea for a future Survivor season: They could have nuns vs. monks.
