Survivor 20**HvV**No SPOILER THREAD**

That's exactly what wishblue said.

For all of you Russell worshippers; go back and re-read Jeff's blog. Russell will be the first back-to-back loser because he has NO SOCIAL GAME. When part of your strategy is bullying the people you play with, you're forgetting a key aspect of Survivor. If Russell comes back for a third Survivor down the road, I suggest he take as his personal item, a copy of Dale Carnegie's How To Win friend's And Influence People

On the other hand, Sandra has combined two of three key elements of the game. True, she is not the greatest at challenges (although she, with Rob, were killing it at the puzzle challenges), she has mastered the social and strategic game. If you don't think she plays a good strategic game, you just don't get Survivor. There is a difference between flying under the radar and riding coattails. She has managed to get this far without alienating anybody and if she goes to the final two, she wins. Hands down.

That's the second time that I've read that today. I'd appreciate it if the name calling would stop. It's really starting to tick me off.

And for the record, being a fan does not equate worship.

He certainly is entertaining. I have heard they have a good relationship but I haven't seen the videos.

As far as his two seasons go, I think he had a much stronger case for winning last year than he did this year.

I agree. I'm watching but not loving this season. It's such a let down after last season. Holy heck was that good tv! I've been disappointed by these reunion seasons.

and Coach is still pissed he was a villain and not a hero.

Yeah, until you said that I didn't even remember what tribe he was on. :lmao:

Chill. No name calling there. And I wasn't singling anybody out.

I never said you were singling anyone out. But yeah, it is name calling. Please cut it out.

There is no reason that we can't have a discussion, even with very different opinions, without that that crap.

I'm not sure how it is name calling, it's referencing a group of people who go beyond "fandom" with Russel, that's all. :confused3

I actually like Jerri much more than I have in the past, Russell isn't playing as well in this game as he did in the last - and whatever happened to Colby? Remember during his season, he "gave" the $1M to Tina by bringing her to the final 2 instead of the person he had a sure win against... I don't like Sandra - not sure why, but she just isn't likable to me.

At this point, I think the best game players are Russell and Parvati, and think the jury would vote for Parvati based on her social skills.

OK! You are entitle to your opinion. BTW Russ also sucks at challenges so the have something in common ;)

How does he suck at challenges? Hasn't he won 2 so far this season? He also defeated Brett in Samoa for the right to go to the Final 3. I don't get your thought process.

If you told me Colby or Sandra was terrible at challenges, okay agreed. But Russ, no you're not correct about that.

I haven't seen anyone on this thread that meets that criteria. Fans, yes.

So if the poster that used the phrase was referring to people who aren't posting then I apologize.

I agree she's more likable but I'd also say less interesting.

No, I was referring to people who seem to want to crown Russell king of Survivor. Some of the ardent support appears to reach the level hero worship, hence my use of the term. It's not name calling, it's categorizing. I make no apologies for it.

Also last night he was one of the ones in the lead most of the challenge. jerri just barely beat him.

I agree with jrmasm. Russell worshippers is definately not being used as a term of endearment.

Again, its my opinion, you don't have to agree and I don't like to argue about it :thumbsup2

Time to take a break from this thread for now, I don't like when it gets to this personal. ;) see ya later, maybe tonight hahaha !

No, I was referring to people who seem to want to crown Russell king of Survivor.

What people? Where are they? Why did you feel the need to address them if they're not here?

Again, there are Russell fans on this thread but I haven't seen any worshippers. In fact, most of fans seem to be in agreement that he was much better last season. Hardly the sentiment of a worship.

This was Amanda's THIRD game, and the first time that she was voted out.

Russell would not have made it as far as he did if the contestants on this game had seen his first appearance so they would have known what he was like.

You can't say that about Russell until it plays out. It doesn't matter whether it was Amanda's third.

All I'm saying is Sandra and Russell will be the only 2 plays in Survivor history to have never had their torch blown out. A very impressive achievement.

So, we can't use general terms for a collective of people, unless they are specifically posting here? I post on a lot of survivor boards (so it's hard to remember who posts where), and I've never seen someone see the term "Russel Worshippers" as a personal insult. :confused3 Most are proud to wear that badge.

Russ should learn from Sandra how to play the jury! She didn't last night, so spontaneous.
Parvati is one of the greatest player ever, she had won a lot of challenges and had not made so many enemies despite voting against them.

Sandra was talking about the idol and she said that she didn't take it to the previous TC because she didn't think she would need it and then the whole drama with Danielle started, she said that if she had the idol she would had give it to Danielle to save her, when she saw Russell telling Jerri to vote for Danielle she knew she could had saved her.

Parvarti said she was a hero inside was a great move too, she doesn't want to be so evil in front of the jury like 'you know who' that can't help by brag that if they're not with him they're against him.

J

So Sandra was clueless that week as to who was getting voted off? Seems like someone worthy of a million dollars.

My final thoughts before Sunday night’s finale:

Sandra: I loved how she kept the hidden idol quiet; she even kept it secret from Parvati. As in her prior winning season, Sandra’s simply strategy, “anyone but me”, is paying off. I am hereby predicting Sandra for the Win.

Parvati: what an amazing, all-round player. Great at challenges, great at socializing, and very intelligent at anticipating moves by other players. However, if it comes down to between her and Sandra, I have a gut feeling the jury will pick Sandra. If Sandra is not in the final tribal council, then Parvati to win.

Russell: I thought he would be gone early in the game. After all, he was an utter unknown to everyone and so could have been deemed ‘expendable’ or an easy vote early on. However, even with his abrasive personality, he has survived. A great, entertaining player. I hope if they ever have another ‘ultimate all star’ game he will return. Alas, I feel that his chances of winning are very remote: only if he, Colby and Jeri are in the final three (if it is final three) would he have a good chance.

Colby: I guess that if he makes it to the end he has a decent chance of winning due to the number of Heroes on the jury. I would hope that the jury would recognize that Colby has been a non-factor in this game and so would award the prize to someone who has put themselves out there. There is a school of thought that Colby has been deliberately losing challenges (save for that one he won) so as to appear a non-threat. I would be amazed if he stands up at final tribal and announces that sucking at challenges was, indeed, his strategy. I never thought I would say this: I hope Colby does not win.

Jeri: Like others I liked her more this season. However, I doubt she can make it to the final three (I predict Colby voted off next, then Jeri). I can’t really imagine any challenge that she could win to advance to the finale, and, even if she does, I can’t imagine the jury giving her the money over Sandra, Parvati or Russell (Colby yes, but no one else).

I think Russell is more likely to burn that book in the same fire that Jaison's socks were cremated.

I am really enjoying this season, missing Boston Rob of course, but am liking it even without him. Colby has got to be one of the worst players ever, in my opinion. I was glad to see Rupert go last night......buh-bye ;)
