Survivor 20**HvV**No SPOILER THREAD**

I agree with you. It's one thing to like Russell, but some of the posters here take it to a different level. For example, thinking that he can win a challenge whenever he thinks he needs to. Or not recognizing all of the times that Russell has misread people or stayed in the game simply because of luck that he had nothing to do with. (Let's face it, everybody needs some luck to get far in this game, not the least of which is having the good fortune to be on the tribe that has the majority after the merge.)

I stand by my opinion that, whatever strengths he might have, Russell cannot be considered one of the best players ever unless and until he shows that he can get jurors to vote for him. If he wins this season, I will admit that I was wrong. But, unless they have dramatically manipulated what they show on TV and in the Ponderosa videos, I don't see where Russell is going to get the minimum of 3 votes he needs to survive in the final 3.

Wow,I've never been called a "worshipper" before. :rotfl2: I have stated that I believe he throws or at least doesn't try to win a challenge unless he feels that he needs it to survive. He you watch him, he only tries at certain challenges. When he has tried, in many cases, he has won.

I do feel that Russell is a very good player. That opinion is based partly on watching him play the game and partly on reading Jeff's blog. Jeff has repeatedly stated Russell is one of the best players to play Survivor. Since he sees much more than we ever will, I put much more faith in Jeff than anything I've read on this board.

He does! Unless he really really needs to win he gives 100% and wins when he really wants.
Back when they were winning most of the challenges because Boston Rob he was so jealous, then after Boston Rob was gone he didn't really care it was like he didn't care to win so he could get rid of the guys.

He is a great player and fun to watch, he puts the salt and pepper in the show but he does not make the right decisions to get the votes.

OK, so hubby and I have a wedding today and I work in the morning, so this could be my last pre-finale post, I will try to put down thoughts for the season.

I still miss Boston Rob. I loved him evil, I loved him good, I loved him. I just want to go to a Bruins game after eating at "Ye Old Union Oyster House" with him. Love him.

I think Courtney is sarcastic and hilarious. She really does suck at challenges, but I love her humor.

Amanda should have never given that idol back to Danielle, and Colby is a putz for playing "principal" in that scene.

Now for who is left:

Russell: I don't care, I like him. And, yes, last year he should've won. He should not, however, win this year. There is a whole different level of player on this season, and one of them is named......

Parvati: I never thought I would say this, but she should probably win. She is cunning, devious, and has played them all. I have never liked her, but she really has played an amazing game socially, and how many challenges has she won? Great all around player.

Jerri: I really could do with or without. Its not that I dont like her, I just am wishy washy about her. In that way her and Coach are perfect for each other.

Colby: What happened? A pp said how funny it would be if he stood up at final and said he threw all the challenges to not be a threat! :rotfl2::rotfl2: I would so have more respect for him then!!

And my favorite.... Sandra: Bad at challenges or not, I love her. I do not remember her much at all from her original season, except that she won. But she has taken some extreme chances with her own personal safety in the game and is still around. She is smart and funny, and she really could win this. She just needs to figure out how to get rid of Pavarti.

Oh and by the way, if Jeff wants to join Rob and I at the game or dinner, he is TOTALLY invited!

OK...so who's ready for the big finish tonight?

Me :yay: Me :yay: Me :yay:

I have never been a Pavarti fan, but I like her this season. I think it's b/c she outwitting Russell.... who I loved last season, but am still holding a grudge about him getting out Boston Rob..... now I know how the jury feels! I would never vote for Russell if he was in the finals :rotfl:

I really don't like to see people win again, but I would love to see Sandra win.

Three Sunday's in a row with great finales...

last week: AR
this week: Survivor
next week: LOST

I'm pulling for Colby or Sandra. I'm pretty much sure Colby will leave first unless he wins immunity

I could never stand Parvati, but I really am pulling for her this time. I think it is because she can put Russell in his spot. I love how Russell thinks he is the one in control, but truly, it's Parvati. She could of gotten rid of him weeks ago, but everyone wants to bring him to the end.

I am loving the Sundays in May! All set for the month now, with AR last week, Survivor this week, and the big ONE...LOST next week!

I would be happy with anyone wining besides Russell. I can't stand they way that he threatens and bullies everyone.

Anyone know when the next season will start? Has it already been filmed?

I think someone posted a couple of pages back that they were already filming the next season in Nicaragua.

Me too. I agree with everything you said. I am impressed with Sandra and Parvati's game play, but I like Sandra's better.

I love it when Russell gets knocked down a notch like when he wasn't chosen to go on the reward trip. It was so funny because he is so arrogant that he thought that he would be chosen after threatening everyone and voting out someone in his own alliance. :rotfl: How clueless can a person be?

If he makes it to the end and loses, the look on his face will be just as priceless as the shocked look on his face when he lost the last game. He just doesn't get that you can't treat everyone like crap and expect them to vote for you. Playing the other people emotionally is part of the game. He's just too arrogant to realize that.
