Dang, I wish I could have seen the finale'. I was on my Disney Cruise and I missed it.

An interview with Rob from the Boston Herald yesterday. I like how he says he may consider doing more survivor if the opportunity is right.

Thanks for posting the interview.

I was afraid Rob wouldn't make it all the way to the end with this group, but I wanted him to at least make it to the jury. Darn scheming villians!

It's too bad Rob didn't agree to give Courtney up (although personally I think Sandra is more dangerous) I'm not sure about doing it with her sitting in on the conversation though.
I know that would have screwed up his alliance, but how many alliances make it all the way to the end anyway? It definitely would have been a better move for the strength of the team, and would have kept him in the game longer.

Anyone else catch the preview where Jeff makes it sound like he's telling them to drop their buffs, then says expectations instead? Poor Courtney, she looked so excited for the merge, but maybe it's not happening just yet. It will be interesting to see what that's about.
I'd be OK with some shake-ups in the game format.

Russell.... I think he is probably enormously compelling in person. And thus Coach and Gerri were swayed.

AND I'm afraid he will be able to do the same with the Heroes if there is a merge. The only one who seems to have his number is Sandra. I like her a LOT, can't exactly say why...

But I heard that Rob got kicked off, and now I don't even want to watch it anymore.

Say that again! I finally say this episode adn was shocked. I understand long term strategy but in order to win this thing you have to keep your team stong until the merge. It is going to be interesting to see how the villians fare against the heroes in the next challenge. I also think that even if Russell lasts until teh end he won't wi the million. These peopple will remember what the conditions were because of the sabatage.

I agree about Ozzy - he was just incredible in all the Cook Island challenges (which were all physical). I don't remember how physical Micronesia was, though.

You're not the only one. And I suspect that had Rob managed to get Russell out, there would have been a lot of posts crowing about how smart he was.

But I do think that it would have been smarter for them BOTH to put their huge egos aside and worked together.

We may be in the minority, but I agree with all of you. Rob put it right out front to Russell that he was taking him out at the first opportunity. Russell told Rob the same. . .Seems to me that Russell bested Boston Rob and Boston Rob was never a slouch at manipulating others to get teammates booted.

I am thoroughly enjoying this particular Survivor and Russell is a big part of that guilty pleasure.

That's how I felt too! Not that Russell was stupid, because he was certainly clever enough to get out Rob, but just that Rob was one of my favorites!

Although I do think Russell probably is one of the best Survivor players in many ways, since I don't see him winning unless he can figure out the social aspect of the game, I wouldn't say he is the best player. And the fact that I appreciate his game play doesn't mean I have to like him or want him to win.

Along those lines... is anyone else thinking this season would have been even more interesing with Richard Hatch? Of course I had to look away from the screen a few times his original season, and 10 years later.... maybe not.

Well I was eight years old when Richard was on Survivor Borneo, and I was 11 when he was on Survivor: All Stars, but he never really made an impression to me, while him smuggling matches onto the show was clever, and shouting "I've been bamboozled" after getting voted off very early in the All Stars, was a funny moment, he just never struck me as a real character. Where as I remember Boston Rob and Amber as clear as day. I guess nudist men don't really catch my attention

I never knew this and just googled how he did it. I didn't need to know that - especially while I am eating breakfast.
