Surving WDW without a car? HELP!

We love not having a car in WDW, it's freeing!

If you need to get somewhere quick or don't want to wait we just jump in a cab.

I didn't notice if anyone posted, but some use grocery delivery services for in room groceries. When we flew we had our groceries delivered from Garden Grocer and were very pleased. It worked well for us.

The transportation for resort guests is one of the things I enjoy. Just feeling like I can get anywhere on property by bus, boat, monorail, etc. and don't have to mess with parking. Hope you have a great trip!

We've been to The World nine times and only rented a car the first two when we stayed off property. We appreciate and enjoy the transportation service at WDW. For us it's part of the vacation to get on a bus, boat or monorail and be taken where we want to go. We also don't mind using a little creativity working out the best way to get to another resort for dinner. DBF is a transportation supervisor and usually want to do all his own driving, but he really enjoys the Disney transportation experience. I hope you have a great time.

Thank you, everyone! I loved having all these ideas and kind words. This truly is a wonderful place to be before a Disney trip. I wonder if half of the magic is reading through these boards just to plan for it! :-)

Thanks again!

you dont need a car at all...

**this is just my opinion**:cool1:

you are PAYING for disney to transport you , lets face it, Disney isnt ur average trip to the beach, it gets costly so adding on the cost of a rental car isnt nesessary...... yes sometimes (like at park closing) you may have to wait for a 2nd or 3rd bus, but generally they are pretty speedy. and plus, at the end of a loooooooooooooooooonnggg day of walking ,...why would u want to have to get in the car and drive all the way back yourself when someone will do it for you?!!;)

--------->>>>>> when we stay at All Star Music we bring laundry detergent with us..you can either buy those little "to go" boxes at home or simply put it i small containers(like little dollar store bottles) and make sure to put those bottles in a sealed ziplock baggie and ur good to go!!!:banana:

~~~~~>>> with the food question, garden grocer will deliver to you . just go online and order and it will be waiting at the resort for you...MAJOR help!! who wants to waste valuable Disney time at the grocery store?!:confused3 :rotfl2: or you can go on costco.com, we always do that and send a case of water down so we dont have to pay. i know you can order water from staples as well..
**just a couple suggestions ..hope they helped..good luck and HAVE A MAGICAL TIME!!!**:wizard:
WDW busses bring you very close to the park enterance (unlike driving a car
you have to park in parking lot hop on the shuttle then the monorail to get
to the park enterance (that take time).
At the end of a long park day just hop on your REsort Bus (which is close
to walk) and let the driver get out of the parking lot. I saw the back up of
traffic trying to get out of some lots and it didn't look pleasent. WDW Busses
usually have there on driving lane so you don't get stuck behind a bunch of cars.
Both times we went to Disney, I drove from TN. I never moved my car again until we left. We rode the buses, the monorail and the boats. The kids loved it. You will be fine.
We had a car the first trip because we drove and never got in it until we left, second trip we flew and used DME didn't need a car. No worries you'll be fine. In an emergency there are always taxis.
