Agreed. I'm only describing my own actions, not encouraging others.Originally posted by Dean
Just realize that it is my understanding that DIS is not to be used as a forum for a mass protest or the like.
Thanks Dean.Desperado, Scott Lish is the current supervisor of MS though Jackie was still there last I knew.
Ahhh..... don't be silly. Actually, I should be e-mailing that suggestion to the member satisfaction manager regardless if there is a survey or not. That's their job, to respond to our feedback. Believe me, I know, I have a similar type job and study these types of issues extensively. Don't give it a second thought, you posted some great news.Originally posted by Tinkmom
.... if people are going to be jumping to all sort of erroneous conclusions from a very limited amount of second-hand information, and bothering DVC customer service employees.
save $100.00 (25% again) off AP- which would bring the cost of it down to $279.00 - THIS IS THE ONE I VOTED FOR!!

...As for bothering MS, that's what they're there for, at least for the members. If putting pressure on them affects the outcome in a positive way, we should go for it...
Sorry but that's absolute nonsense. Letting DVC know I would like to see discounts on PH passes is a very reasonable request. Frankly, it's part of my responsibility as a customer to communicate these interests to DVC. I really should have been doing it for a long time now instead of letting this forum provide a promt for me.Originally posted by Tinkmom
I have no problems with conveying to Disney suggestions or feedback in a logical, educated way. I do think it unwise to start firing off emails based on very skeletal references to some items in a survey which you read about on a forum. Not really knowing what the situation is, and using bare bones info and speculation as a basis for contacting Disney at this point would seem to be totally ineffective as you have no credibility -- you have no real idea WHAT they are looking for, or to do. You have no idea if or what type of "pressure" might be effective. Just seems annoying to them and non-productive for you.
Personally, I like to have a clue before I initiate that sort of contact, because I don't want to waste my time or the person on the other end's time.
In away I agree. However, DVC opened up the can of worms by sending out the surveys. Plus this is an area where discussion takes place regularly anyway on all DVC forums and betweeen DVC MS and members. And I really am not nearly as concerned with what they want or are looking for as with what the members want/need. While I do respect Pete's wishes on the uses of this forum, I'd love a letter/email writing campaign to DVC on this matter. I am all in favor of personally writing and telling them that I hear they are doing a survey, here's what I want.Originally posted by Tinkmom
