HOTHS 7 Nt Itinerary Question

Hey, DISfriends-

I have a specific question regarding seven night Halloween of the high seas sailings, specifically the Southern Caribbean out of San Juan. We are on the October 24 sailing and I can start booking experiences next week so I’m trying to prepare for the mad dash scramble that happens the minute the booking window opens.

Does anybody know what night pirate night is?

Does anybody know which nights have organized activities like the trick-or-treating or NBC Screening or the spooky tree lighting, etc.? I want to be sure I don’t plan a spa experience or Paulo reservation for a time that will be taken up by themed activities.

Any info you have would be incredibly helpful. Thanks, everyone!

It'll take a few precious seconds, but the easiest way to find out which night is pirate night is to look at BBB bookings to see which day they offer pirate makeovers. That'll be pirate night.

It'll take a few precious seconds, but the easiest way to find out which night is pirate night is to look at BBB bookings to see which day they offer pirate makeovers. That'll be pirate night.

That used to be my go-to way to determine pirate night. My 9/23 cruise does not show any pirate night makeovers and it is a 10 night sailing. It has been confirmed which night is pirate night thru concierge.

You can also contact DCL (I always use the Chat) to ask which night is Pirate Night, Formal Night, Halloween Night, etc.

This worked well! It was indeed easy to find which day was Pirate Night based on when the BBB reservations show up as "pirate makeovers." Thanks for the tip!

Bringing back memories ... we won't be able to pack all the stuff to do it up like we did 9 years ago, but we will be on the 24 October cruise from San Juan as well!

Thank you! My son said it was REALLY hot inside, even with the fans inside the costume to keep it cool, but it was a hoot to watch the cast members talking amongst themselves trying to understand when they got a Bing Bong for the ship! Not only did the kids run over to hug him and get a picture, but the number of adults that did the same was really a surprise! My daughter-in-law (Joy) sang the Bing Bong song and my son just bee-booped along to the tune. It was memorable ...

The situation your son was in with people thinking I’m “the” Jack Sparrow. I don’t really look like him, but then again most of the entertainment cast members who performed that role. Don’t really look like him either, sooo… that could get awkward Also, to your previous point, I’m not sure I want to have an entire suitcase just for pirate night and Halloween costumes. With five of us, that could get WAY out of hand.

On one of our cruises, there was a couple who brought one or two suitcases with costume stuff inside. They told us it took 2-3 hours to get in costume, but he looked like Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, and even had the mannerisms down ... and she looked just like Elizabeth in her pirate garb. They were phenomenal. He looked SO MUCH more authentic than did the cast member portraying the character!

So if you're as dedicated to your costuming as he was ... you could be in for it! (oooo ... I want to see it!)
