We are surprising our kids for this trip by telling them that we are just connecting through Orlando and will just stay overnight.

My worry is that when we go through custom, the officer usually asks where are we staying and how long are we going to be, etc.

Any tips you can give us?

We are planning to tell them about the vacation when we are entering the Disney World sign....don't know if we will be able to pull it off.

Tips will be greatly appreciated as this will be the first time for us in surprising them.

Sorry to tell you but yes you will need to tell the customs officer exactly where you're going with the address of the hotel. So if for example, you're staying in any of the All-Stars resorts they will more than likely want the FULL name of the resort. If you are staying in one that doesn't have Disney in the actual name of the hotel (like perhaps Caribbean Beach Resort) you MIGHT be able to get past customs but won't they guess once they hear the announcements on the plane??? Pilot is gonna say you're flying into Orlando. There's bound to be lots of others on the plane who are going and will be chatting it up.

I simply went up to the Immigration officer alone, explained where we were going and kids knew nothing about it. He then called DW and the kids over, processed us and wished us a good day. No problem. May depend on the officer though. Good luck, we love surprising them (and they love it too)
