I was wondering we are staying at All star music and was wondering if there was anyway possible to have something special for the kids waiting in the room for them when we arrive (like something from the gift shop, animal or shirt or something). Does anyone know if that's possible. Thanks in advance

Nope, they won't put anything in the room prior to your arrival. The only time they do this is if you are staying CL at one of the deluxes. You can order something and they will either give to you when you check in if you ask them if they have a package for you or they will deliver it to your room after you've checked in. If you are not in the room when they deliver it, they will leave it in the room for you (unless it is alcohol--you must sign for that).

I was wondering the same thing, thats too bad, It would be cool to have it waiting for them.

Here you go:

We ordered from here and eventhough it was not in the room when we arrived (they can not deliver it prior to check in), it was delivered while we were in the park and when we came back to the room, it was another touch of Disney magic for the kids! You tell them what you want and they will personalize everything for you. It was great!

Unless you are staying Concierge /Club level in a Deluxe, they can not put anything in the room to be waiting when you arrive. Rooms are not 'officially official' till you check in.We had a gift basket made for our arrival at BCV last year, once we checked in someone brought it up

Even though the surprise was not waiting upon check-in, our children have been delighted and surprised when they found the gift in the room or when a knock came on the door delivering it, thinking the gifts came from Mickey and Minnie (or a favorite character). It's been so much fun!

We've even sent gifts to adult friends who were celebrating a special occasion while on vacation. My DD sent me a birthday surprise last time I was at the Poly and it was a delight to find when we returned to our room. :)

We used the Disney Florist on our first ever trip to surprise our kids with a Pal Mickey. They loved it!

I have bought 7 baskets from Betsy....she does great work. here is her website

After we check in GF, Swan and AKL,...the baksets was delivered w/i 20 mins someone delivered it and handed it to my son telling them that Mickey send him a special presents just for him.

We bought 2 from Betsy in Dec and once we checked in, I saw the CM sneaking out the main doors of POP with the baskets so I had our group take our time getting to the room until I saw the CM heading back our way then once we got to the room, the baskets were waiting for us. :cool1:

Here is a pic of the baskets:

DS is Star wars fan and DD is HSM fan. Betsy was wonderful to work with and actually went to bazaar at Japan to get some of the Hello Kitty stuff for DD's basket. We will definitely use her again when we got next time.

I've always mailed a box to the resort 4-5 days prior to our arrival. I have someone else fill out the address label and fill it full of fun stuff like goggles, dive toys, gummy candy, etc. When you check in, the system will prompt your cast member that you have a delivery waiting for you - the girl's eyes always POP out of their heads in joy as they try to figure out who sent them something and what it will be!

Yeah, you can call or go to the website for the Disney Florist, they are wonderful. I am going in a few weeks and set up an in room celebration for my entire family!! We got the mickey's grand welcome with enough addons so everyone gets basically the same thing. A family member did the same a few months ago and said it was great and worth it! can't wait to see my kids reaction to the room when they open the door!!!Have fun:wizard:

I had requested a birthday card be left in my brother's room for my nephew's birthday, but was told that they can't, but would give it to him at check-in. I also ordered a gift basket through Disney Florist, had it delivered the day before they arrived. I called the resort (POR) and they confirmed it arrived and that a note was on the reservation to give the gift at check-in, as well as the card & birthday button. They checked in and not only no card or button, but no gift basket either. He called me later in the day and had no idea what I was talking about. After spending 20 minutes on the phone with the front desk, I was first told it was given to another guest :scared1: (WHAT???), then was told that they found it and it would be delivered to the room. She also said that she would get the card delivered too.

i've done multiple things and have been successful with all of them...

one thing i did when my kids were littler was to wrap up a bunch of little "giftees" (one for each morning) and make the tag corespond to the gift (i.e. a bouncy water yo-yo w/pooh on it from tigger... a mickey tee shirt from minnie... an underwater camera for water park day from nemo... etc)... and put them on the table in the room or on the end of their bed every morning before i woke them up... it not only made each morning magical, it helped out with the "i wants" at the parks because i could say "you never know what mickey might bring tonight" and the kids were mystified and amazed that the characters were coming in their room and leaving gifts! it was awesome!

i have also ordered from disneyflorist.com and typically arrange it so the gift comes mid-trip... i find it "funner" to get it then, esp if energy is draining, family is getting on each other's nerves, etc... it's a great pick-me-up (and even at the happiest place on earth a pick-me-up is sometimes needed) ;)

I have done this for my son several times. I have him a gift wrapped in red and black paper with a fancy bow (bought in advance from Disney Shopping.com or Disney Outlet.com). I take it to disney with us "hid" in the car under a blanket. Upon checkin (providing the room is reading) once I have the room keys, I go to the to retrieve the gift. I tell my DH and DS that I need to use the restroom and will meet them in the room. My DH and DS go to explore the pool or gift shop to give me a few minutes head start. I head to the room with the gift in hand while my DH and DS pull the car around and bring in the bags. By now I have entered the room and place the gift with card signed by Mickey Mouse (signed by me) on the bed where it is not to be missed. I leave the room and head to the parking lot to help DH and DS with bags. When we all enter the room....suprise!!!! I know it's a lot of trouble but what a magical way to start your trip and the look on your child's face is priceless. With a little planning (and maybe using the cell phone to call DH to tell him everthing is set) you can pull it off! If you are flying, you could aways pack a few small gift bags in your carry on and go to the gift shop to buy the gifts while DH and kids go to the arcade. You can always tell them you need ot check on dinner ressies and will come get them when everthing is set. That should buy you 10-15 minutes. Good luck and I hope this helps.:yay::woohoo:

Thanks everyone i think i have gotten some great ideas. I will try to make a basket myself and somehow hide it on the way down. Thanks again! I just wanted something a little extra special for the boys
