I would like to surprise my DH with something special when we arrive at the BCV. Does anybody have any suggestions?

:bday:

They have special cakes you can ask a Disney bakery to send over...call the front desk and ask them what sort of "surprises" have been popular in the past...they get to hear from the guests what went over well. All kinds of gift-basket ideas....if it's his birthday and he doesn't mind being made the center of attention....get him a "Guest of Honor" Badge with his name on it and the special Birthday pin you can pick up at the front of MK...one of the first stores on the right / left (post office maybe?)....the CM's can make a big fuss about birthdays at the hotel/restaurants/parks.
Have robes sent up to the room for the night and have a nice array of snacks...then give him a certificate for a massage at Grand Floridian's spa...my husband would love a massage!
Have a wonderful time!

I just surprised my SO with a rookie experience at the Richard Petty Driving Experience for his birthday. Up until he got the little certificate I made him he hadn't been too keen on the whole trip, now... he can't wait to get there! Good thing we leave in 6 days - or he'd "drive" me nuts!

DD & I surprised DH with the Richard Petty Driving Experience on our trip last year (Oct). We drove to FL from PA and stopped the first night in Georgia. At Dinner that evening DD gave her Daddy a card with all the paper work. He was totally thrilled. It really made the trip for him. We got DH the 8 lap experience, the only problem now is he wants to do the big one and try different tracks. Guess we created a monster.

Your DH will love it!!!

Just be aware that you shouldn't arrive for the surprise to be in the room upon arrival.

Until you are checked in that room could be assigned to someone else. They may be enjoying your suprise.

If you don't want to trek all the way over to the GF for a massage, the Swan/Dolphin offers them. I also like the idea of robes, which you could add a bottle of champagne and dessert--maybe chocolate covered strawberries? There is a WDW Florist that does special gift baskets, but they are pricey. They have a website that you can find if you do a Google search.

I got my DH the Petty experience for this trip inn 2 1/2 weeks. He is a little freaked out that he will be too big for the car. Those NASCAR guys are small and he is 280 6'3". I keep telling him how great its gonna be. I would love to hear more about it
Thanks
Georgina

I really appreciate the help. I know he wouldn't like the driving but the strawberries and champaigne sounds nice.
