SURPRISE!.......You forgot the WHAT!? A November 1st-11th 2012 TR* BIG UPDATE!!2/3

Great update! My daughter is thinking about pin trading on our upcoming trip. I'll have to see what she decides soon so I can order some!

LOVE this shot! I'd love to do this on Main Street sometime!

And it appears you have unleashed the pin trading beast in her! Which I'm sure you know by now is both good and bad. I waited a long time to introduce Katie to pin trading, for fear that that's ALL she'd want to do. We sort of have to negotiate when we do it and when we don't. But on balance it's been a great addition to our trips. She keeps most of them on a bulletin board in her room.

Ahhh, pin trading! Oh how Lacey used to love it. I think that she has over 300 pins in her collection.

You tell Kadence that her jumping shot was waaaaay better than the ones that we took. :thumbsup2

Awww, her first pin trade! How cute that she put so much thought into which pin to trade. That surprise is something she will remember for the rest of her life! Lucky kid. :goodvibes

Love the shot of her jumping in the air. She looks like she is just having the best time in the world!

Love the outfit! Pink and grey look so great together.

I totally agree with you on the OCD with pin trading! I genuinely feel ill at the thought of things not being in their proper sets. I'd be unbearable if I started trading. Plus I don't think I'd ever be able to give any pins up! I so wish it was for me though and I love hearing about other people's trading.

How cute is the Cheshire Cat!?

Love that jumping shot! Too cute!!

And very thoughtful about her first pin trade! Henry discovered it last year in Disneyland, he has been an addict since. It's an expensive hobby, thank you Lord for eBay!

I follow Jen's (jenseib's) trip reports, so I thought I would head on over and read yours as well. Good decision on my part, because its a great report.:thumbsup2

Loving the information about AoA (considering it for a future stay someday). You have some terrific pictures here. Your daughter is beautiful and very photogenic.

Our next trip is not until August, so reading trip reports is what's helping me get through the ridiculously long wait.

Edited to add: Just read Kadence's first post and I think it's great to be able to see the trip from her own perspective. You hardly ever get to hear what the kids are thinking of everything!

Hello everyone. If anyone is still around, I will start updating again soon. It's just been a tough month.
After over 6 months of hospice care, we lost our Grandfather. He was more like a father to me, as I lost mine (his son) when I was 17. I have been focusing on my Grandma and just trying to deal.
I need to start climbing up out of my sadness and return my mind to happy thoughts and places.
That is what most if us here call Disney. And to keep us looking forward, we have put down a deposit for our next Disney World trip in November. Only this time we will have 2 brand new travelers with us. My niece, Justice who is the same age as Kadence.
The other traveler.... My Grandma. How blessed we are to have her come along. Kadence and her Great-Grandma will the most wonderful memories.
I'd like to thank Jen & Janet for bring so kind and just being my friend.

Updates will soon follow. Thanks for waiting.

Of course we are around. Not healthy but still around! :lmao:

Take your time but I am ready to read when you are ready to write. I actually don't think I read Claire your last update either now that I think about it.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I lost my grandfather 7 years ago. I lived with him after my parents divorced from the time I was 12 until I was married, so I know what you mean when you say he was more like a father to you.

I can think of no better place than Disney to help heal the wound of losing a loved one. How wonderful that you and your grandmother have a trip to look forward to. We took my mother on a weekend trip soon after my father died and it did us all a lot of good. Like you said, wonderful memories will be made on teh trip for all of you.

So sorry to hear about your grandfather Carey. I too had a grandfather who was more of a father figure, and I still miss him. What a special relationship you must have to remember him by.

How special to be able to take your grandma and niece on your next trip!

I'm still here. :)

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. :( But I am anxious for more TR updates.
