We had just finished meeting the princesses and I could tell Elsa was feeling like a princess herself. It was precious to watch her walk away with a little bit of a bounce and a slight twirl in her step after coming face to face with Cinderella and the others. I don't think she intentionally did it...she most likely wasn't even aware of it...but those are the small things as a mother you hide in your heart and revisit when they get a little attitudey.
We moved on to Mickey's house. This was a first for us. We did tour Minnie's house with Meema and Peepa, but it was so crowded that day we hurried right out of Toon Town. I am glad we came back today!
Mickey's bedroom:
This was in Mickey's backyard and I thought it was super cute:
Michael and Mickey's pumpkins:
We followed the path to the judges tent where we waited for Mickey. I feel I am pretty good at judging if a line is worth the wait...but Disney pulled a fast one on us. Some real brain power had to go into that set up because what looked like a 10 minute line was a good 30-40 minutes. I got duped by Disney!
They had silly classic cartoon clips projected on a wall length screen and it really helped the time go by. Before we knew it we were meeting Mickey and Minnie again!
Minnie kissed Michael:
We left Toon Town and headed for Cosmic Ray's. Elsa and I were hungry and they have the three different stations to choose from. Thankfully Michael was prepared that his favorite part was under construction so no issues this time. Being here reminded the kids about PUSH the talking trash can. Elsa was just sure we would run into him again. She started stock piling trash to feed him and I started to talk reality to them. The chances of actually seeing him again were pretty slim. But no one wanted to listen to me...and in the end they were right to dream because on our way out we ran right into him. He "ate" our scraps and the kids were thrilled!
We sped through Space Mountain's fast pass line and rode on the left side.
Yowzers! That side is rough! I prefer the right side...the right side seemed faster and smoother...and I see that as a win win situation. Apparently the kids like slightly inferior speed and jerk you aroundedness.
Back to Buzz we went. I think this might be the ride we jump on the most much to Elsa's dismay. Not that she doesn't like it, she just doesn't like it as much as Michael and I. Once is enough for her. We even caught her lounging in her vehicle (think back to the sprawled out airplane picture) and then exiting with a score of ZERO
How can that be? Michael and I step out of our space craft breathing heavy with cramped up thumbs and she ignored the whole competition? I questioned at that moment whether or not she was actually my child, but I know I carried her for 8 1/2 months so it must be some glitch she inherited from someone else.
We happily jumped into the Monsters Inc. Laugh Co. and only had to wait a few moments before they allowed us to enter the show. We did this with Meema and Peepa a few days ago and loved it. We settled in and were tickled when they chose Michael's joke. It was actually a recycled joke from Pal Mickey so we can't take full credit but it was still fun to be chosen.
Then the next thing we know they are pointing a spot light on me and my lime green t-shirt (GO Disboards!
). The monster had to guess my number...it was very funny. I am always amazed at how different Michael and Elsa are. Elsa wants to be picked for everything...She could not have the spot light on her enough in her opinion. And then Michael dies a bit inside everytime he might get picked. When we exited the show Elsa was trying not to be bummed that she wasn't picked, but Michael kept stating his joy about being passed over.
It takes all kinds I guess.
I checked my phone to find out the time and saw a text message from my friend Roxi. She watches our zoo of animals when we leave on vacation and would be picking us up from the airport tomorrow. The message said we better check with the airline about our flight because our home town was expecting a spectacular blizzard. How great would that be? We had tickets for 7 days but could only stay for 6 because we had a commitment to return for. If the airline won't fly us it certainly wouldn't be our fault.
We could use our last day if the flight is canceled. How bad is it to pray for a blizzard?
It was a tug back to reality realizing that our happy place was 78 degrees and real life was gearing up for a nasty storm...Ohhhhh I don't want to go home!!!
Up Next: Is this our last day? Or could we possibly be getting a BONUS day?
