Well, I'm a kid of 68 and I had a ball. There are coasters and thrill rides there also. The food alone is worth the trip and the Dixie Stampede is a show that kids of all ages would enjoy. There were lots of teenagers and 20 somethings there besides families.
glad to stumble across this, we are heading here this weekend, has been about 20 yrs since we have been,,, already looking forward to the cinnamon bread,, I wonder what other must dos are there,, it will be me & DH & DD (8)
Thanks for reading huffjoann. I had such a wonderful time there. The amusement park has something for everyone. Your DD will have a ball. I LOVED the Dixie Stampede and the water park.
All of the food at the park is fabulous. I didn't have a bad meal anywhere.
I also loved shopping in Gatlinburg. There are also lots of outlet malls there too.
Loved reading about your trip to Dollywood, Angelrose! Your family does have a lot of fun together! The food sounded delicious ...and the shopping sounded like fun too - I LOVE socks!!! Wow...a whole store for socks!!
We are not too far from Dollywood...maybe 5 hours or so...Sophia might like it better than WDW because she worries so much about a character approaching her at Disney. It's hard for the whole family to travel together so we usually take a Girls Trip with the pups...which means offsite at Disney...but we found a great, secure condo complex only 3 mins to Disney property...we are in the parking lot within 10 mins. They have houses too and maybe next time we will try renting a house with a pool in the same complex.
Thanks so much for sharing the fun...and for the link! The kids are sooooo cute!!!
( I remember when Zoey was born and you mentioned Karen was not into girly or pink clothes and how it was disappointing for you to shop...I thought and hoped that might change ...everyone I know who has said no pink or girly clothes always changed once their little girl arrived. Zoey is always dressed so cute...and definitely feminine!)
